Fanshawe explanation

Thanks for your email. However there was no untruths here. We sent an email yesterday November 3 announcing the approval.

You may have received our previous emails mentioned that Fanshawe had submitted its COVID-19 Readiness Plan to the government and that we were waiting for (and expecting) government approval. We have now received approval – so this is good news.
Students should wait until Fanshawe’s name appears on the list, which is expected by mid-November. IRCC needs to inform border services of the update, which takes time, and ensures that students are not turned away at the border. I am sorry that this process is not as quick as you would like.

As it states on Canada.ca “We’ll update this page as more DLIs are approved by their province or territory to reopen to international students who aren’t currently in Canada. If your DLI isn’t on the list yet, check back regularly to see if it’s been added. “ This process goes through many “hands” and channels.

The best thing to do is start looking into travel plans but hold off booking them until Fanshawe appears on the list.

Take care.

That's a very clean explanation. A diplomatic one, rather. Since they've said mid November, that's in two Weeks? Let's wait. Can't do anything about it as of now. If they fail to deliver then, then I'm out. After almost an year of fanshawe management having my hard earned cash at hand, I'm going to ask for a refund, and I'm out. Fanshawe shouldn't behave so smug yo, while every other college out there changed their time schedule so that the students could come over to Canada they prepared rigidly to make student stay at their home after paying three times as much as the domestic students do. Sorry for the rant lol. I'm honestly super frustrated with the college.

You also have to realize that Fanshawe is a public/government regulated schools that can’t be compared to private colleges. You completely took what they said the wrong way. They can only guarantee they’re approval but they can not determine when they will be on the list. It’s like everyone expects so much during a global pandemic! Being a student who have been to many institutions, I don’t understand why you expect top class experience from a small school like Fanshawe that’s far cheaper for international students (depending on the program) than most schools in the province (that can Guarantee PGWP).

Mate I've paid the amount of money that they've asked me to. Are you telling me that I should expect less that for what I've paid? If fanshawe mentioned that alright, we are a small college compared to the others, it's a 50/50 gamble here since we are a public college I might've expected the sort. I got into a very reputed college in the UK and cancelled it so that I can study in Canada. To know that I'm qualified and everything is sorted and that the only thing holding me back is the fact that fanshawe decided to change my course to "Fully online" sucks wouldn't you say? And it's not way cheaper man. In India I have to almost as much as I had to pay in the UK to get into a university like Greenwich. As a paying customer/student I have the right to ask :). I've been waiting 8 months so excuse my anxious comments. My worries should not necessarily translate well with you :)

I'm not against anyone here. Anyone with a difference of opinion can say whatever they want. I didn't pay any of your fees and neither have you paid mine. I'm sharing my experience and y'all can say yours. I feel like they've done me wrong and that's what I'll tell anyone who asks me about fanshawe bro :)

i get what you’re saying but it does sound like you may be unfamiliar with schools in the America’s. I understand your frustration but all 80% of classes are online due to the pandemic where as big schools across the province have opted to defer programs which alters your chances of staying in Canada when you’re done. Your problem is not with Fanshawe it’s with immigration services so you should reach out and express your concerns. Fanshawe is by far one of the cheapest colleges I’ve encountered on this side

Fanshawe sent out an official email saying theu are on the list. Did anyone else got it?
I got an email stating that they have been approved to be on the list and that they are waiting to be officially placed on the list. Currently they have not been placed on the list just yet.
