Hello. Would you mind sharing why you got rejected?Hi.
Last year I applied as you did. I will give you exact dates, hope it helps to you to compare processing times in a normal year and during covid:
Correspondence Letter (final result) August 14, 2019 Correspondence Letter (biometric) August 13, 2019 Biometrics Collection Letter July 5, 2019 Submission Confirmation July 4, 2019 Confirmation of Online Application Transmission July 4, 2019
As you can see, I received the final results next day from receiving the biometrics confirmation. My results were negative, and as far as I know, everything on my application was fine (demonstrated the money, the reasons why I wanted to study, I demonstrated to have a job and reasons to return to my country). It depends on the person who evaluates the application and all the information you gave: your family ties, proof of found, etc. But I wish you the best of the lucks. I would tell you that It seems that your study permit is going to be approved, but, I thought that too last year and I was rejected. So be patient, maybe you receive your results tomorrow. Please, let us know how it went =D.
Wow, I was rejected because of a LOT of reasons. Here the list:Hello. Would you mind sharing why you got rejected?
Actually, some of those reasons were unfounded, I do know because I hired a professional immigrant advisor and she told me that the application looked good. In my first attempt, my husband and I applied together (he wanted the open work permit). This time I applied alone, and as a resume, I changed the following:I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the length of your proposed stay in Canada.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.
• You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your or your host's income and assets

Be patient!!, they will answer soon. Stay aware of the list of COVID certified colleges, because immigration officers are first processing students attending classes on those colleges.
Best of the lucks.
