Hello!
I got my CSQ two days ago and im kind of in a rush to get my letter from CIC that is saying Im eligible for PR
Im an international student here and if I wont get this letter my husband and I will pay 4 times more than the "standard" tuition fee.
Normally we wouldnt have a problem but these are not normal times and we could really use this "discount".
I know its not a process that will take a month but people told me I need to wait 6 months for my CSQ and it arrived after two months.
Are they speeding the process due to COVID for some magical reason?
Can anyone tell me how long it took them to get the letter from CIC after getting their CSQ?
And another question, on the letter they sent with the CSQ it said that they've contacted the CIC to tell them about the approval, but do I still need to send them the CSQ also?
Thank you for any help we can get!
EDIT:
This is what the university is requiring:
II - Letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
students must present a letter from CIC, addressed to the student, which indicates that they are eligible to apply for permanent resident status within Canada under one of the following categories:
I dont understand which letter they are talking about, of course Im eligible to apply, as I already did. The university itself has been unhelpful.
