Hi, they don't use the same photo from Biometrics for the PR card.
When approved (this is what I found out from all of these forums here), you will receive instructions to send a copy of that "Letter" or copy of COPR with a photo. At the back of that photo should be stamped date and location and you also have to write your name and date of birth.
Don't worry, the instruction letter you will receive will have full details of what to send, how to send, how many and where.
Hmm looks like duplicate effort for people who have given biometrics recently and got their picture taken.

Finally biometrics done today and it is updated instantly on the online profile. What a long wait of 8 month!

Congrats. But there is still an unknown wait after Biometrics. I did mine on Oct. 14. No further update.
my friend got approval after two weeks of giving biometrics.

Getting a COPR is another battle.

I am seeing instances where people with April 2020, May 2020 AOR date getting COPR but people with Jan, Feb, June, July 2019 ... so on and Jan 2020 , Feb 2020 are still waiting even after everything is done in their file. I know similar situation with Biometrics call.

It’s always good to hear the news of freinds getting COPR as well as you get a ray of hope but it should be systematic or priority basis so everyone could trust the system.

My guess is that once the final review is done by IRCC office (all stage passed). it will be transfer to local office to issue COPR. that's why the waiting time are so random because its depends on where you at and how busy is your local office.
