On page 2 next to Final, if that is blank, then your application is not yet passed.

However, based on the note above, your eligibility is passed and security is in progress. Security on page 2 will be blank with s15 on the top right corner of the page. This denotes that your security is in progress or it may even have been passed.

See how many security related activities you have in your GCMS notes. Usually most applications will have 4, and if you have 4 then it denotes that the security is passed.

The security will remain blank even after your application is approved and will look like this:

To read on s15/16 see https://bit.ly/37EGW4G

To read on security and security screening manual see https://bit.ly/35EtGe7

Since your eligibility is passed, no need to worry, just wait and you will soon have a PPR.

Hey @legalfalcon,

First of all, thank you for all the effort you put to maintain this valuable resource.

Can I kindly ask your opinion in regard of PPR distribution from Ottawa VO, any thoughts?
Sydney is on fire, we all have been observing this for the last couple of days :) but what about Ottawa? Concerned.

Security is not always redacted in Gcms Notes even when in progress but the final outcome of screening is always redacted.

Most security checks are done within 1 month; longer up to 1 to 2 years if in enhanced screening. Also, see the online version of the CBSA manual for security screening https://cbsa-screening-manual.gcmsnotes.com/?page=1

It's likely that your security has been passed.

Hi Legal Facon,

I am in a peculiar situation and would appreciate any guidance. I am an AINP October 2019 candidate. My AOR is October 17th 2019. Around March (after receiving my first GCMS notes) I realized that I had messed up uploading my financial letters and hence it was put under “Eligibility reviews”. Since then I had submitted my financial letter and on further queries and GCMS notes, I learnt that I passed all checks around May end timeframe but my application was forwarded to a medical officer for a re-review. I am assuming this was probably to see if my medical can be extended.

I am an Indian national working in US on H1B visa. I received the following email from CIC last week and am confused as I haven’t received any PPR request. I have responded to the officer last week itself saying that I am a outland applicant and probably will need to get PR visa stamped and asked her for guidance but she has not responded. I raised a webform query as well but that has not been responded as well. I try to call their number but am not able to get through to an Agent.

Have you seen or heard of such situations before and if so how much time it took for the resolution.

Hello Mr Kumar,

I have been assigned to process your Permanent Resident Application XXXXXxXX - parties on this application are - XXXXXX (UCI XXXxxxxx) and family Xxxxxxxx(UCI xxxxxxxx), xxxxxxx (UCI xxxxxxxxxx),and Xxxxxxxxxx (UCI xxxxxxxxxx) .

Can you please verify that you and all family members on this application are currently in Canada at this time. If all family members are in Canada, then they can be granted Permanent Resident Status Virtually. If you are not in Canada, then you will be landed either at a Port of entry upon returning to the country or you can make an appointment with Immigration upon returning to the country.

In order for me to complete the Confirmation of Permanent Resident documents I will require you to verify each family members’ first and last entry dates with the Port of Entry. Please note when providing the first entry date, we are asking for the date that you made Canada your home, not the dates that you enter as a visitor.

Please provide a your Canadian residential address and mailing address as well in the email.

Please respond via email to CIC-Etobicoke-Landings@cic.gc.ca quote the following in the subject line so it will be directed to my attention

Permanent Resident Application Xxxxx ATTENTION- Xxxxx

I look forward to hearing from you.

1. You do not need T4 or T1. If you have a job, a letter from your employer that you are employed and your salary will be sufficient. As per IRCC:

2. For super visa the threshold is very low and you just have to include a letter of invitation to IRCC and show that

  • your ties to your home country
  • the purpose of your visit
  • your family and finances
  • the overall economic and political stability of your home country
@legalfalcon thanks sir for your insight. In the financial support (proof of fund) they mentioned to include the Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1, so is it compulsory? For these things do i need to show my tax certificate in Canada for the most recent full year? or can I apply for my parents Super Visa right away after I land a job with a salary scale more than LICO? I want to apply for my parents super visa right after i land in Canada as a PR & I secure a job so is it possible? thank you so much sir.

Financial support (proof of funds)

The child or grandchild who invites you must prove that their household meets the minimum necessary income. The following documents are examples of what can be used as proof of funds:

  • Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year
  • Employment Insurance stubs
  • employment letter including salary and date of hiring
  • pay stubs
  • bank statements

Read it carefully, it says "the following documents are examples of what can be," so you can use any one of them.

However, if you do not meet the PoF requirement, you can then apply for a visitor's visa.

These emails are sent during final review. As per your, all stages have been passed, and IRCC just wants to ensure how to send your the COPR, as explained in the email.

You are almost there. Just send a response to the email and very soon you should receive a PPR / COPR.

Hi @legalfalcon , I wanted to know if you could help me with that.

I am currently living and working in Montreal with a work permit that will expire February of 2021. I've been working in Canada for 2 years now, 5 months in Toronto and 19 months in Montreal.

I wanted to apply to get my PR through the express entry but I know I couldn't be living in Quebec to do that.

I would like to know if I can start my application now and move outside Quebec to finish it. there is even a company in Vancouver that would hire me if I had an open work permit.

Is it possible to do that and get the BOWP even if I am still in Montreal, showing them that I even have a job offer outside here?

The law regarding residency in QC and FSW is listed in subsection 75(1), which states:

75. (1) For the purposes of subsection 12(2) of the Act, the federal skilled worker class is hereby prescribed as a class of persons who are skilled workers and who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada and who intend to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec.

A plain reading of the above does not say that just because you are living in QC bars you from being eligible under FSW, as long as you can show an intention to live outside QC. However, having a job and living in QC for a considerable amount of time does negate the intention.

You can sure apply and move out of QC.

Also see the following case for a greater clarity on "who intend to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec."

Dhaliwal v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration), 2016 FC 131 (CanLII), <http://canlii.ca/t/gn7xb>

But to try to get the BOWP, after I receive the invitation letter, do I need to move outside Quebec right away or I can try to get it here? I can talk to that company in Vancouver to get job offer and show them as a proof. I also have family living in Ontario, I dont know if I can use this somehow.

This is a very fact intensive scenario. No one is privy to your specific facts and situation. So instead of relying on the advise of people on the forum, read the case and the law. If you thing you meet the criteria, then you can go ahead and file. If you need further help, then you should engage an immigration lawyer of your choice to advice you asked on your documents.

Hi,
To upload documents for education section, I want to upload my transcripts, but the electronic document has a valid signature, and it does not show any option to print and export. And if I make a copy to merge pdf, the signature becomes invalid.
The document also states "photocopies are not considered official transcripts". And the transcripts should not be shared with 3rd party without consent of the university.
What should be done in this case?
Please advise. Thanks

If your are submitting your documents post ITA, transcripts are not required. Only the degree diplomas are required. However, if you still want to submit them then you can do what best retains the integrity of the documents and also enclose a pdf with it explaining the issue and if you can provide a way from IRCC to download it directly from a link, that would be even better.
