Did you receive your PR card in Canada? Thought I read that it had been received. Most send it to a friend or family’s address in Canada.

If you haven’t received your PR card in Canada then yes you need to apply for a PRTD to return.
Yes , I haven't received my PR card in Canada . I applied for PR card and left Canada . Now it's is mailed to my friends address .
I don't think I can use PR card even if my friend somehow send it to me . I have to still apply for PRTD.

Did you apply for PRTD ? Did you get approved email ? I have 10 documents . Did you attach each document as separate , then send to mentioned email .

Please reply sir

Yes you can use your PR card if your friend receives it and sends it to you. Your PRTD application should be relatively simple since you only recently landed and it is very clear that you meet your residency obligations. Would include a short note explaining that you landed (assuming you did a virtual landing) in June 2020 but had to return to India to see a family member who was ill and that you need a PRTD to return to Canada. You are well within your residency obligations and you have not received your PR card at your Canadian address as of yet.

Thanks for replying.
But this means I have to still apply for PRTD ?
I was in Canada for 4 and half year . I was student , then worker and then became PR on 4 June 2020 and left Canada on June 30 .

I don't physically have my PR card , but email copy of letter in which they sent my PR card .
I need your help in applying PRTD . One is checklist and other is PRTD application form .
In total there are 10 documents .

Did you apply for PRTD ? If so , how you send all these documents? Combined them in one or send them separate as each document .
Please help me in this

Thanks in advance

Good day guys,
I got COpr on oct 8,2020 while I was in canada. Then, I left canada on oct 18,2020 due to an emergency in India. Now I’ve to apply PRDT to get back to canada.
I was filling the PRDT application but got stuck in the middle. I’m confused in residency obligation column. How can we prove them 730 days residency obligation?
In application, it says after PR we need to show 730 days but only 10 days had been gone after pR in canada then I left.

If anyone knows something about PRDT or applied PRDT, please suggest some advice.

Thank you!

Yes, I got approval within 8 days of applying online. PRTD can be only applied if you're outside Canada.
Good day SrivaniD,
Can you please help in filling PRDT application form?
How we calculate residency obligation? I went to Canada as a student in 2018, completed education in 2019, started working full time and received Copr on oct 8 2020. Due to an emergency, I had to come to India on oct 18,2020.
In residency obligation section, its written if you became a permanent resident less than 5 five years ago, list time spend in canada from the time you became a permanent resident to present.
In my case, it was only 10 days that I spent in canada after Copr. Can you please explain me tghe process? Really appreciate for that!!

Thank you

Count how many days from the day you officially became a PR till the day you left. if it is just 10days, just put that on the application, you are fine. I applied for PRTD recently and I got my visa stamped in my passport. I applied from the USA, I was only in canada for 29days from when i became a PR

Thank you for the information.
One thing more, do I have to check mark any box in application form like Humanitarian and compassionate grounds for exceptional case or anything special for our case?

And what supporting documents did you submit?
Thanks

Hello Lilybee,

My application is almost complete. I was wondering about fees payment. Can we pay $50 through canadian mastercard or do we have to pay $50 through indian currency? Currently, I’m in India so not sure.

Thanks for helping me out.
