And I have exhaust all funds with me.You need to find an employer with a job offer who can sponsor an LMIA application which will require the employer to pay 1000 dollars and advertise the job for a number of months to ensure no resident is available

In mean time you should apply to extend your stay as a visitor and obviously as a visitor you cannot work
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/extend-stay/apply.html
Most employers are unwilling to apply for an LMIA. because of the long wait time and expense. The employer must show that theh can't find someone who can already work legally in Canada to do the job. Due to the higher unemployment rate due to covid getting an LMIA approved may be difficult unless it is for a specialized job. Theb you'll need to apply for a WP and you may not be approved. There are long backlogs so you will likely be waiting over y months if you are able to find an employer tomorrow. If you don't have the funds to stay in Canada for 6-8 months minimum without working I would suggest going home and working towards qualifying for PR.And I have exhaust all funds with me.
How do I go about this? I love this country
You are a long way off from being able to apply for a work permit.Hi everyone. I want to ask because im an implied status. I havent heard from immigration about my extention. But my boyfriend own a company. My question is, can i apply for a work permit even if im implied? Or can he hire me as an employee in his company?
what are the steps we need to do? Thank you so much to those who can reply my concern and stay safe everyone.
Hi scyllaYou are a long way off from being able to apply for a work permit.
Before you can apply for a work permit, your boyfriend needs to obtain an approved LMIA. This is a 4-6 month process (likely longer right now). The first step is for him to advertise the job according to the LMIA rules for at least one month to prove that no Canadian could be hired for the role.
Hello,Your first priority is to get a visitor extension (visitor record) that will allow you to stay in Canada legally as a visitor. Apply ASAP and before the expiry of your current visa to get "implied status". As of now the wait time to process both online and paper applications is 184 days (see the link below).
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html
So there is a very good chance you won't hear back from immigration Canada for at least 4.5 - 5.5 months after you apply for extension. This should give you some time to look for a job or other legal ways to stay in Canada.
If your status has already expired (and you are overstaying now in Canada), the link below will help you to restore your status in Canada:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/restoration-status.html
You can also go to North West Territories, Yukon or Nunavut and look for jobs there and see if employers there can do an LMIA for you. If you decide to try your luck up north, be prepared to live in extreme cold and dark conditions during winter months.
Sure you can put that on the form but you need to ensure you have the backup to stay that long as a visitor such as how you will fund the extension and why you need such a long extension. Obviously no guarantee how long an extension might be could be a month could be the full term depending how convincing your case is to IRCCHello,
Is there any specific duration one can request in the Visitor Record? Please advise.
Example - can we request to extend our stay in our visitor record application for additional 9 months (after completing the initial 6 months on TRV)?
Thanks in advance
Would really discourage having your boyfriend's company try to hire you. Given your relationship there will be a lot of scrutiny about whether this is a valid job or a way for you to remain in Canada and work.Hi scylla
Thank you very much for taking time readinng my concern. Ok i understand now.
I appreciate your advice. God Bless
