Hello

One of my friend has only given name on her passport and on her passport last name is left blank. On the PR it looks like IRCC used given name as last name. She wishes to file PG PR intent to sponsor. Should she list her given name or last name ? how ?
Maybe you can do that... but call the IRCC to check is the best option

Hi all,

My wife sponsored me last year and I got my PR in March/2020. Although she signed the undertaking to sponsor me, can she still be my co-signer to sponsor my parents?

hello Experts..

Do BOTH the signor & co-signor needs 3 Years of NOA? with income eligibility?
No. However when they combine their incomes together, they must have enough income each year (and reported in the NOA) to meet the income requirements.

if you have your spouse as co-signer, then they look at the combined income for the each of the 3 years (NOA).
i.e. for each year -> your income + co-signer's income
Okay.. my wife came to canada in 2018 December and did not have any income but we filed NOA... in 2019 her income was sufficient to sponsor independently and in 2020 she will have income sufficient to sponsor... I sponsored my parents (2) and my wife in 2019... so if i co-sign will they see both our incomes for 6 People or just 4?

you need combined income for 6 people. for each of the years.

well if they calculate number of family only when it "happened"
then it's 2018 - 4ppl (you need to include your wife regardless where she was
2019 and 2020 -6ppl

But I am not sure how they calculate number of family member now.

thats a very good point.. they should ideally consider 4 People for me till today... and 6 from the point I CO-SIGN THE APP,,, fingers crossed!

  • You won’t need to include this information for their dependent children, or a spouse/partner that won’t come to Canada with them.
@Tanvir1405 I believe, dependents names are not required on EOI application.

What others think? As I have to put application of EOI yet, trying to get input from you guys. I understand this is not very important but I don't want to take the risk.
EOI application required Parents info plus their dependent if they are coming to canada with them. If dependents are not coming to Canada then it is okay not to mention.
