Hi all,
I am claiming 3 years of work experience For FSW EE while studying full time back in my home country. While I was checking Canada.ca website to learn more on this topic, I saw section where it states that the work has to be continuous.
I have a gap of 6 months after 2 years of my work and continued for another 1 year after the gap.
Does this mean I cant claim my work experience?
Please help

You need to have at least one-year continuous experience to qualify for FSW.
"
at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week)—you can meet this in a few different ways:
  • Full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
  • Equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
  • Full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
"

To claim CRS points, work experience doesn't have to continuous.

For both, the work experience is calculated by hours (max 30 hours a week).

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to claim full time work experience and full time studies at the same time? I mean doesn't it have a contradiction within itself, especially when there is no CRS point changes even when we mention the studies as part time only?
