Have anyone applied for an FBI clearance outside of the US via mail and already received it? Based on the FBI website processing time is 12 weeks. Just wanted to know if someone got it much earlier. It's already a 1 1/2 month since they received my application and currently waiting to have them mailed it to our friend in the US.

Note: If it's really 12 weeks processing, it will overshoot the deadline given to me by IRCC (3rd week of Oct). Is it okay for me to request an extension at this point and how can I do it? Ty
I got mine within a week ( applied before Covid). Normally, you can get the soft copy by accessing to the link they sent you. If you can get it in the link, i suggest you could send the soft copy via web form first explaining that you have not got the hard copy and send hard copy to them whenever you got it

They asked for original PCC . How come they accepted scan copy?? I sent photocopy with application package. But they asked for original PCC again.

They accept.. if we are scanning the original document.I did the same thing. When I've sent my application, i just attached the photocopy of pcc. After they requested for original pcc and rcmp and then I sent the scanned pcc certificate and rcmp on 6 march.
After that no update.

Hi. I will be submitting PR application through OINP. I have read several pages in the forum but I could not understand most of the abbreviations here: AR, APR, COPR.... Is there any place where I can learn what these abbreviations are? If you receive COPR, does that mean you got the PR?
Thanks

Most common abbreviations are:-
AR- APPLICATION RECEIVED
AOR-ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT
RPRF-RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE
ADR-ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT REQUEST
MR-MEDICAL REQUEST
MP-MEDICAL PASSED
DM-DECISION MADE
PPR-PASSPORT REQUEST
COPR-CONFIRMATION OD PERMANENT RESIDENCE

Are there any approximate timeline between each step?

Now, it depends on the situation because some of received their AOR after 2 months of AR, whereas some of march people have got AOR after 5-6 months, and some are still waiting. So no idea :(

Thanks. And these 2 steps happen before COPR - right?
So the sequence would be like below?

AR- APPLICATION RECEIVED
AOR-ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT
RPRF-RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE
ADR-ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT REQUEST
MR-MEDICAL REQUEST
MP-MEDICAL PASSED
PAL-PRE ARRIVAL SERVICES
BIL-BIO METRIC INSTRUCTION LETTER
DM-DECISION MADE
PPR-PASSPORT REQUEST
COPR-CONFIRMATION OD PERMANENT RESIDENCE

I am sure many people again got aor and what you guys think all people are on this form. Every March candidate will get their aor this month
