I have recently came back from Europe with RTD. I did not see anything different then 14 days mandatory quarantine. I flew from Kosovo to Montreal transferring from Switzerland and did not have trouble.

Air Canada and partners are well aware of the status of RTD and they just let you board the plane when they see RTD.

Do not forget to have a solid plan for 14 days quarantine. I have rented an Airbnb and gave the address of Airbnb to the officials.
Thanks

Do you mean when we return to Canada, where we live, we should rent a place. Can we not remain in our own apartment/house or whatever during the 14 days of quarantine after returning to Canada?
Thanks

Hi, everyone

I want to renew my RTD, which expires in March 2020. My Pr application is still on process.

My first question is - What documents do I need to renew RTD, do I need to go all the same way as the first time?
The second question is- In my RTD I do have some visa, do they give me back my old RTD, or I should give that to them?
The third question is that- I am willing to apply in person to obtain RTD, is the offices are open now?
The issue is that I want to see my family, but the country ( Turkey) to visit needs more than 6 months expired document, which is already 6 months left.
Due COVID 19 there will be delays and it is getting hard just sit and wait.
And my Last question- does anyone of you applied recently and got his or her RTD?

Thanks in advance who will come with answers.

Have a great week.

Trust me, @Mano1110786 and I have the same situation, same concerns and same questions. But I think nobody has an answer with the current situation.
You will need to provide all the documents as the first time.
You can ask for the original RTD back in a clear explanatory letter IF you have a valid visa on it. But if there is no multiple entry valid visa, they won't give it back so no need to ask for it either. Just make photocopy of all pages for your records.
No idea if they are even accepting RTD applications by mail or in person.
Every country asks for at least 6 months' validity of passport/travel document not just while applying for visa but also while travelling and returning back. So, no matter where you want to go and come back to Canada, you need to have at least 6 months' validity upon your return date. I am in the same situation as yours.
However, I do not see improvements in travel restrictions and the pandemic anytime soon. So honestly, wouldn't advice anyone travelling even if they do have valid document and visa. But at the same time, I think, wish and pray every day to travel and meet with my family. So I understand completely your situation.

Any updates regarding travel document?? What do you think that we should apply by mail nnow as it’s taking too long
I think we could try, no harm in applying honestly. They might delay but they will still have the application with them and process it as soon as they are working on them again... I might apply in a few weeks as well.

Yes, I do have multiple visa which is still valid. Where do I need to find or how to write an explanatory letter?
I want to call to know do they work or no, if yes then I want to apply in person, do you know the phone number and short cut numbers to reach to call center representative?
And the last question. In the application, there is a part where a lawyer sign, should be the same one or we can ask another one or?

Hi,

1. You need to go same way
2. They will keep your old RTD, you need to keep to copies of visa and RTD first page to get visa again.
3. I am not sure about office is taking application in person, you can visit office otherwise send by mail.
