I just got another email. It’s a status change email. In ECAS I see this now:

What does it mean?

Agreed and thank you. Been so busy at work, kind of forgot about the app till I got the email.

Bu the way, my thinking on this is less that they would not eventually request the biometrics be done again, but that hopefully they might at least do the info sharing with whatever agencies and keep the process moving, rather than having it stuck at some sequencing requirement and not even start the other eligibility checks.

Again, no idea, but worth a try. There are some signs they are being a bit more flexible on some of these steps.

A quick question about PCC. I see you submitted PCC on 8th May, did they ask for another one or your forgot to submit with the original application?

For Hong Kong applicant, we can only apply the PCC after IRCC request it and show HK police force the request letter. And because of the Covid-19, my PCC finally got delivered in May.

Since then no progress, application status on online tool is "Application Recieved"
This changed from "In Process" back to " Application Recieved" somewhere around 7th or 8th of March.

My timeline is almost same as yours. Jan 2020 applicant, moved to ndvo on 3rd march. No update since then.

Your file doesn’t necessarily have to be transfer to VO, to indicate movement. Of your file is straight forward, most likely Mississaga will process it. GL!

Thanks CDNsoldier unfortunately I never seen a Ukranian file process in Mississauga...so its either LVO or Kiev. actually I'd prefer Kiev right now over anything else, but I'll probably get sent to London like all the other Ukranians.

i am a canadian pr and sponsored my husband and daughter (from india) through oultand sponsership application in jan 2020. They have submitted their medical in may, since then no updation. Any idea when will the processing start in india? has anybody got passport request since april 2020 as vfs offices are still closed?
another question is that i am thinking of visiting my daughter and husband now and stay there for 2 months, but i heard then one should plan fr short trips when one has sponsored someone. But the issue is as quarantine period is 14 days, so one can stay out of canada for around 2 months or no?

I’m a January 2020 applicant, I did my biometrics back in February and got SA approval. Last week we received a letter saying that finally our file was moved to Mexico VO. We are now waiting for Medical Request I hope I get it before the end of the year.

I have the similar timeline as you, medical bio metric done in Feb,2020. Moved to Missisauga VO in Feb. but no Update till now, waiting become stressful now.

Were you outside of Canada the entire time while your application was being processed?
