Our application is currently in Trinidad.
We applied for TRV once In 2019 an got denied All because they say there’s already a PR application in process for us. Smh

well is true , but it's not a reason tho ! We can apply for TRV even if there's a PR process on the go ?!? what's that.

I applied for a TRV August 4 tomorrow is 1 month and still waiting... just received a acknowledgment of my biometrics then silence as usual... they don’t care

I wrote to immigration while on a moment of despair. Up and downs as always. It’s probably the last time I’ll do that. Got the same answer about the ambassy and the other office being closed because of COVID and how they can’t aks for passeport, receive it and print visa. I was wondering how they can send passeports right now but cannot receive them. Are we having different information depending on who we write to? Tomorrow is another day...

I know right. And also because they don’t “feel” that I would return to my homeland because of personal asset in Canada . Like what? Smh they review your application based on their feelings. Smh

I guess we are.
Earlier Last month my husband wrote to Trinidad an the replied we got was “ your application is with an agent and is being process” .
The ending of last month we wrote again to them the other reply we got were”due to covid the office is running on reduced Operating capacity and they would be unable to say etc etc “ like what the hell? So yea, different officer different opinions smh

You have to make sure in your application cover letter that you say that you are applying with "dual intent" - the intent to visit while the sponsorship is in process. You can find info on this if you google it. I didn't know the first two times we applied. Now that I understand more I may try applying again for my husband.

I’m tired honestly sent my CSQ in May since then nothing only extended my medical until November and November is just around the corner 18 months this month

is what i say, it's a real joke. they denied my wife a visit a few months BEFORE we even apply for PR sponsporship. (and we made sure to tell them we had intention for permanence and sponsorship after it, it was just a visit so she knows where she's gonna live before digging in) But based on her travel history....No

We even gave them a letter from her employer stating she is getting a special time permission to go and need to get back after Xmas....

so basically you can't get a TRV in Canada if you never traveled around at some specific places like USA , europe or such.

So i've replied as " Wow.. so she can't travel , cause she never did ? is what you guys are telling?"

Totally absurd. Only answer i got from the Manager of the Visa department at Mexico was: " We are sorry to hear your plan been down, you are free to reapply and we gonna make sure we dispatch your file to another agent. It might change the result of it , or not. In between if you have other evidences to provide that could have an impact on the analysis , please do so".

How can she overcome a "based on travel history" when the only trips she have done is Roatan and Guatemala.... is doomed from the start

Waiting medical completed since August 22th here....which would qualify us for the PPR

they really think persons out here picking up money off of the tree to keep applying over an over just to be denied.

they told us to re apply also but we didnt . We don’t have that sort of money to waste again.

It's most like... how can you possibly overcome such a ground ? You can't invent travels and all that ! and you can't afford going for the fun
