Security is done last after eligibility has been reviewed. If security is passed that should mean your eligibility is passed also.
You could send another web form specifically asking about your eligibility or request GCMS notes.
Very interestingly in the notes I ordered I found security started earlier than eligibility passed but before eligibility recommended passed(shown by the Activities in around page 82 or so). And I raised a webform afterwards it says security valid for the first time.

There is no different. RFV and Approval is one and the same. The note that you see is about eligibility. After that once your security is done, your application will be approved. RVF in the eligibility note only indicates approved based on eligibility subject to security and final review.
thank you so much for the response. So now i just sit back and wait for travel restrictions to be lifted so i can get my PPR?

Hello all,

I raised a web form and recently got back this reply.

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:
· The eligibility review is met.
· The security background verification is currently valid.
· The criminal background verification is currently valid.
Furthermore, we verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at the Case Processing Centre - Ottawa, Ontario

I also ordered GCMS notes previously and received the below onJuly 30.

https://ibb.co/W5F165r
https://ibb.co/Tt3smpy

I’m wondering if I should order gcms notes again to see if there was any change as the web form is now saying eligibility is met. Any ideas? Thanks

From your notes, the officer reviewed your file in May. When did the case analyst or assistant do so? I'm barely a week after you as far as AOR is concerned and I haven't had any movement on my file since the beginning of March.

The case analyst reviewed and stated recommended pass for me on March 3rd. After those notes that were posted it seemed like my case came to a stop

I believe both READY FOR APPROVAL and READY FOR VISA is used interchangeably by officer. It means you are the finishing line and once security is done, your application should be approved. @legalfalcon @caipsnotes : please your feedback would be really appreciated and helpful. Thank you.
You are correct in your understanding, it's one and the same.

Hi,

My status is same as yours:

Eligibility - Passed
Security - Valid
Background - Valid
Criminality - Valid

Visa Office - Montreal

I am also currently staying in the USA.

Can someone please tell us how soon we can get PPR email. Also, is there any difference between valid and pass?

Thanks.

Met and passed are one and the same thing. Usually passed is the term used by the officers wen your eligibility is passed conclusively, where as Met is used by case processing agents / assistants.
