A PR returning to Canada | OHIP question

Hello awesome people,

I got my PR on July 26, 2019 while I was in Canada, and then after two months I left Canada for India on Sep 26, 2019. Now I am returning to Canada (Toronto) next week, and not sure how to approach health insurance.

Do I qualify for OHIP already or should I purchase private insurance. Please help!

Thank you @Bs65. So should I apply for OHIP right now, or should I get a private insurance first and apply for OHIP after isolation period?

You can apply right away unless the 3 month wait times has returned. Obviously after you have done tour quarantine.
