Hello, i got enrolled for 1 year program starting from MAY 2020 intake and my study permit and visa is valid till March 31, 2021.

I deferred my program from May intake to September 2020 intake therefore already 4 months on visa and permit got less.

I will be taking my online classes from September 2020 and i am also planning for my another 1 year program from September 2021 next fall.

but my concern is my current first program is from September 2020 to May 2021 and my visa is valid till March 2021, Therefore i will land in Canada in December 2020 after completing my 50% program online from my home country and by that time i will also apply for my next year fall program .

Therefore, on reaching Canada in December 2020 i would be needing an study permit extension for my current program so can anyone suggest me that i should first apply for my study permit extension with my current first year program's LOA and or i should directly apply for my study permit extension with next year fall 2021 second program's LOA?

Are you sure Canada will open the borders to allow international students inside by December end this year?

Right now, they are not allowing even those with a full approval before March 18th, by giving lame excuses like online classes are "non-essential", and so we cannot enter now.

What if the January 2021 term is also online? Then, will travel for the January term also be non-essential?

Till when will they prevent students from entering by saying online is non-essential? They don't seem to realize that online classes are the new normal now & that we're looking at a situation where online studies will continue for at least another 2 years now (till major part of the world gets vaccinated). So, no international students will be allowed in for another 2 years?

Then why make fake promises saying that we can start the program from home, why give the AIPs at all, why say 50% within-Canada is mandatory etc. when they are in no frame of mind to allow anyone in for the next 2 years?

The least they can do is to be fair & transparent & post on their website that all students are banned from entry for another 2 years. At least, that will be reflective of the ground reality.

fully agree with you bro i also got approved before march 18, 2020 which makes me eligible to fly but they send me back from the airport as airlines are judging Air India who should go and who shouldn't therefore, i still have to complete 50% online from india, in my case i will complete my 50% by november

but i have no idea at all about AIP and all

Oh no, I feel so sad hearing about this buddy :(

Air India is just too much - randomly denying people even though we are eligible.

But how will you complete 50% in November? Are you going to start studying in September or you already started in May?

And which course/institution you wre enrolled in? Did you get the travel support letter?
