hey guys, I reached 9 month mark this week. The application is showing "In Process", does it stay like this even if we cross one year mark? Mexico VO started processing the file in early July.
Yes, I’m over the year mark and still showing “in process” through eCAShey guys, I reached 9 month mark this week. The application is showing "In Process", does it stay like this even if we cross one year mark? Mexico VO started processing the file in early July.
Hi, it stays like that untill decision made, then changes to decision made. Mexico received your file after 8 months?hey guys, I reached 9 month mark this week. From the way she was talking it seems that they are trying to get applications like ours that are way outstanding completed. I think I explained this wrong because it was said over a few messages. What I was told is that it looks like VAC'S could be closed into next year but they are trying to complete a select amount that are overdue. So if you are getting medical requests or decision made, etc, then my MP said you are in that select few and they likely will find a way to complete the process. It wasn't a guarantee....just her thoughts.I hope he is wrong. The VAC could be open partially with restrictions (appointements for exemple) or completely closed to the public. I am sure they still can find a way for employees to work in a safe way to complete paperwork.
Your assignment due date is the next time they put your file in a pile to be reviewed. That means, on September 12th, an officer will get a notice on their computer to pull your file. Then, it gets put at the BOTTOM of his/her pile of files to review, and they work through until they get to yours. At any given time, an officer is working with 150-400 files, so expect the next news to be around the end of September.I ordered my notes just to confirm my application is complete on August 4, 2020 and got them today. I've never received the officers notes after only 2 weeks. I guess if anyone plans to order their notes that now is the time to do it!
In my notes it said application assignment due date September 12, 2020. I wonder what that means. It seems they moved my file to Bogota. I'm hoping that's good news.
Sorry - if by some miracle they are working ahead because of less caseload you may hear before then.Your assignment due date is the next time they put your file in a pile to be reviewed. But our application is approved. So I'm not sure what is left to work on. Everything in the notes says passed. It says application status approved. And Ecas says decision made...and it now says Bogota which from my understanding is much faster then Mexico. It also says counterfoil issued expiry August 2021. I'm not sure what that means.Sorry - if by some miracle they are working ahead because of less caseload you may hear before then.
I thank you for the clarification. It does make sense. I feel kind of relieved to read it even if I know at the end of the day that there are many aspects to consider through all this process. From the way she was talking it seems that they are trying to get applications like ours that are way outstanding completed. Wow, that’s interesting! But our application is approved. So I'm not sure what is left to work on. Everything in the notes says passed. It says application status approved. I think they just need to wait until they can call you in for your visa counterfoil. That would be the only bring forward task left. So no worries. Just an example: let's say right now no one can go in and get their counterfoil. They open your file again and if the offices are open, the action they need to do is send you a notice saying you can come in and get the visa in the passport. If the offices still aren't open, they will assign another bring forward date and check again on that date. But our application is approved. So I'm not sure what is left to work on. That is good news. That must be why I'm seeing Bogota in my notes. When it opens....to send passports there would take half the timeI honestly got kind of worry when i read that VOC will open until next year, so i emailed Mexico asking for an update i got pre-arrival services and decision made on June 5th so I'm really hoping to have Christmas with my WHOLE family this year. Anyway to my surprise they answered the same day and confirm that my application was approved and the next step will be to request the passport and it hasn't been done because of the restrictions. But what they did told me is: "We have added your file to a list of files to be finalized from within Canada as services there resume." I'm thinking since Mexico is still closed and there are so many application they are assigning them to different offices. So finger crossed this will end soon for all of us....
