If she can claim spousal support and judge approved it. But how long I have to provide spousal support ? Until she get 2nd marriage? And amount of claim depand on judge or her requirements?Yes - she can still claim spousal support.
"The Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines suggest that an appropriate duration for the payment of spousal support is .5 to 1 year of support for each year of marriage. Where the marriage is at least 5 years long and the years of marriage added to the age of the person applying for support totals at least 65, support is likely to be payable indefinitely, but it should be noted that indefinitely does not mean forever."If she can claim spousal support and judge approved it. Really depends. If a spouse is home taking care of the children which both parents agreed to yes spousal support is possible. It is based on the whole situation and income earned. The suppoet order will unlikely to go on indefinitely in a case of a shorter marriage. They may have been married for 5 years given the sponsorship time."The Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines suggest that an appropriate duration for the payment of spousal support is .5 to 1 year of support for each year of marriage. You're not gonna pay Spousal Support - RELAX! Gheesh!
Get a lawyer too! Don't try to go to court without a lawyer or they might break the rules and make you pay things you're not suppose to pay - trust me on this. Good luck.
3 year undertaking wife took for husband! And I am confused how same wife start claiming while she took full responsibility for 3 years for her hubby!"The Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines suggest that an appropriate duration for the payment of spousal support is .5 to 1 year of support for each year of marriage. You're right, didn't account marriage time before Canada.Really depends. If a spouse is home taking care of the children which both parents agreed to yes spousal support is possible. In this situation, OP's wife had a devious plan to bring him in to Canada with the intention of having a human slave to support her unemployed self in Canada. Men in Canada are now a lot smarter and aware and fall into women marriage traps much less than before, so she decided to import manpower.3 year undertaking wife took for husband! please reply with due respect forgetting genders, no insulting words for males or females. in the past we heard news only women come and claim support and that was a MOC, ONE guy committed suicide even. It could be other way around too. It could happen with males or females but 3 years?? should it apply to both male and females? Thanks
“ OP's wife had a devious plan to bring him in to Canada with the intention of having a human slave to support her unemployed self in Canada” Who are you people ? SeriouslyIn this situation, OP's wife had a devious plan to bring him in to Canada with the intention of having a human slave to support her unemployed self in Canada. Although, I agree with you, such as case is unusual because generally its the other way around - a spouse from say a developing country scams a Canadian into sponsorship. Gender has nothing to do with it.
I would bet (unfortunately) that a lot of people on this forum will end up in divorce as well. IRCC thinks it can outsmart these scammers and weed them out, but in most cases they are way ahead of the curve and what ends up happening is that some of the genuine marriages get wrongfully denied in the fallout.
