Hello,

I got the file number but when I check it on the passport India portal, it says "The status of the entered File Number is not available in the system" What does it mean? Do you have any idea why it is not showing anything?
type the CAT in lower case. (cat). it will give you the status.

Anyone please
You can.. In fact it helped in my case. Passport office inform Police commissioner office of your area under which your police station come. Police station verify all details and send to Police commissioner. Police commissioner office do the final approval. So in actual your Police file should be clear from both the office.

You can visit Police head office along with your address proof, passport photo copy (In case you are not in India, else Original Passport and photocopy), Light/Water/ BSNL Land line Bill etc

Once your Police file will clear from both the office, PCC status in Passport Seva web site will change to "Ready to collect from regional passport office"

Any idea, what does "PCC needs to be collected from the Regional Passport Office " means ?
Does it mean, PCC is ready for print or it is for local police station to start processing ?

Even after 10 days, my local police station says they haven't received the request from district police station ? How does this process works and whom to contact in this case ?
Can PSK customer service provide details ?

Sorry lot of questions but as you all know there are many broken links in this process and doesn't look like well defined process :(

It means Police verification is done and approved to issue PCC.
After this status will again change to PCC is printed and ready for dispatch. In my case current status is PCC is printed and ready for dispatch since last 10 days but still BLS did not get PCC.

Thank you quick response NL75. Generally how many days it take to update status from "PCC needs to be collected from the Regional Passport Office" to "PCC is printed and ready for dispatch". For me, it's already 7 days.

Senior members,
can you please help me on this post, i tried to ask this in 2 different groups but yet to get help :

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/need-help-pr-application-after-ita-travel-history-queries.697282/
1. Is it mandatory to provide travel history in any particular order? In my case, if I modify the existing entry, it changes the order.
Not mandatory but good to provide in ascending order to look systematic.

2. For one particular travel record, my exit from US (per on I94 history) was 25-Mar-2019 whereas entry stamp in India (as per arrival stamp on passport) was 27-Mar-2019, that means there is no record for 26-Mar-2020 as it was in-flight due to timezone difference. As we are not allowed to leave any gap in dates, how should I entry details for 26-Mar-2019 ?
To avoid confusion, you can report as of 26th March arrival date to India, it looks 1-day discrepancy but they will not reject your case just because of this, in case they raise any question, you have a valid answer.

3. In address history section, for Indian address, I don't have street number or name, and street number is mandatory field, so what should I mention in that ?
You can write N/A if there is no street name and field is Mandatory.

4. My travel history (means out of birth country) is only for 5 years, is that fine to enter only that much or should I add a record for earlier years with dummy entry ?
Mention only 5 years of detail, don't make any dummy entries.

5. Has xxxxxx, and if applicable, xxxxxx's family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. (required)
What is the question here?

Question for 5th point is :

For 5th question, is it required to add any travel history for Parents (not on the application) and child (on the application but there is no separate travel history section for them) ?

Is Bls brampton open for walk ins for pcc?
Yes it is, I did walk-in for PCC at Brampton center on 23-Jul-2020.
Don't call customer service call center, they give wrong/not-uptodate information. For current info, either call BLS location or go and check over there.

In my case, I called call center and they said, PCC forms are not accepted at center as walk-in and i paid for postal (which i wanted to collect in-person) but when I checked at BLS location, they mentioned walk-in accepted for all type of applications.

Hope this helps you!!

My PCC finally showing "Ready for Dispatch" on BLS tracking site since Saturday. Trying to reach out to the call center but the call is not connecting. Anybody has the BLS Brampton number. My submission deadline is 14th August. Just wanted to make sure if they will be able to deliver by Wednesday else I can come and collect in-hand.

Already paid for Purolator labels at the time of application itself on 19th June.
