Hi @legalfalcon!

I hope everything is fine!

I´ve just received an ADR (Police certificate and updated Schedule A). Considering the fact I received a PFL (about POF) before that (months ago), can I consider I cleared it out?

Cheers!

Most likely yes, that is why they have asked you for additional documents. However, to be absolutely certain, rely on your GCMS or send a webform asking specifically the status of your eligibility, as the PoF is checked during eligibility.

Hi @legalfalcon , hope you're doing well. Yours posts have been really insightful here. I'm getting my documents in order for eAPR next month. Indian citizen, UAE resident, FSW-O Applicant here. So, the primary NOC I'm basing my application on is from a family enterprise, in the U.A.E. In addition to a detailed reference letter, I have attached copies of my UAE, Ministry of Labour, attested employment contracts for the entire period. Also, I have payslips from the beginning of this year. As this is the case, do I need to justify that this is from my family firm?

hi again @legalfalcon.

may i know what is the difference between cbsa, gcms, and csis ? and which of the three is the best notes to request to know every details in the PR application. I know that in gcms, the security is not seen if it's already started, in progress or completed.
Thanks.

It dies not matter what the incorporation structure of the firm was. What matter is that whether you were an employee or an owner. If you were an owner, then you will also have to provide articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).

If you were an employee, then you just need to show the work reference letter which was issued by your supervisor. Additional supporting documents always help to substantiate your claim.

Here is the details post on this issue: https://bit.ly/3ifX5zY

in a nutshell, GCMS notes can used to find the processing details of your application. However, in GCMS notes the security related details are redacted. So if you are stuck in security, to know when it started and if it has been concluded, you will need to go for CBSA & CSIS. The above link provides the details on how the process works and what to do when you may be stuck in security.

Hi
I have ordered my GCMS notes. I'm sponsoring my spouse. But I have noticed that there are due dates on eligibility and security sections on the notes. These dates are exactly one year since AOR of spousal application from CPC Sydney. Can I expect the security check to be over by due date or no?

The due dates are system generated dates to remain the officer of the existing application. Some application get processed way before it, some keep pending way past the due date.

Hello @legalfalcon

Hope you are doing good :). Can you tell where my application stands based on the below info plz

Application Timeline

CEC Inland
AOR March 6
MEP & Biometrics Request March 13
Biometrics not done because of Service Canada closures

Got the GCMS notes generated on July 12, 2020, and received this info

And on July 28 for a web form raised, got this info
  • The criminal background verification is in process.
  • The security background verification is in process.
  • Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre (CPC-E) in Edmonton, Alberta.

Also, can you advise, when to raise a GCMS again to get the updates?

Hi @legalfalcon, I see you are a very authentic source of information when it comes to Permanent Residence applications, I have a query, I had submitted my application in December 2019 and also submitted my proof of funds, the exchange rate was 117.20 which made my amount equivalent to 16,914 CAD while the required amount was 15,772 CAD. Now due to the increase in exchange rate, today it is 126.01 which is equivalent to 15,705 CAD. My current balance, however, is equivalent to 18,809 CAD, as my salary is transferred in this account, eight months after the application has been submitted and delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic but IRCC does not know my current balance as they have not requested a new statement or haven't yet raised an additional documents required notification to me.

In a webform I raised back in April 2020, I got the following response:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

· Your application was received via your account on December 17, 2019.

· Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,

  • The background verifications are currently valid.
  • The security background verification is currently valid.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
· Your application is currently located at the Canadian visa office in London, United Kingdom.

Shall I somehow provide them with my updated bank statement before they request for one, or does this reflect that my application is already close to approval and all documents/files have been scrutinized?

I hope I get a response from you soon. Thank you.

Stay Safe.

Your eligibility has not yet started. The note pertains to R10. To read on stages of an application, see https://bit.ly/3a4d4hB

You should wait for at least another month before requesting another GCMS notes.

The webforms are not very accurate. But your webform states "Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied," so most likely your eligibility is passed, which also includes checking PoF.

Also, when exchange rate is an issue, the Fx rate at the date when you submitted the application is taken into account.
