Hello Everyone,

I really need your help. I will start a position in a truck company. It's a small company. 1 owner do all the necessary work. He has 8 trucks and 7-8 drivers. I will be responsible from all the duties after I start the work. These duties are match 90% of NOC 0731. My duties are:
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily trucking operations.
  • Manage and supervise the scheduling and dispatching activities of trucks.
  • Analyse expenditures and other financial information to develop plans, policies and budgets for better profits and services.
  • Negotiate and make decisions regarding transportation service rates and monitor revenue.
  • Hire new drivers and oversee their training.
  • Maintain department records, which include keeping updated records concerning maintenance, gas and oil expenditures.
  • Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods.
  • Resolve any issues regarding employee misconduct, late deliveries and customers' complaints.
  • Organising and monitor all health and safety check and routine vehicle checks as per both company and statutory requirements.
My concern is that I will be the only manager, even only employee except drivers. Is company size matter for express entry?
Do you think NOC 0731 is suitable for me? Or Should I consider NOC 1215?
This will be my first truck company experience. I have 4 years experience as a project manager in my country. Are they consider my previous experience? I am asking because it looks like this job doesn't match with my previous experience.
The owner offered me $20/hour. This will be my first job in Canada. Do you think it is low to get approved for PR?

Thank you so much for your help. I really need some answers :/

Which province will you be working in? The salary they are offering you is on the low side for NOC 0731.

Ontario. Is salary matter? I read some comments on forum. Most people say there is no salary limit for express entry.

Salary can be a problem if you are paid too low. Sometimes when people aren't paid enough, IRCC can say they aren't doing the job they say they are doing but a lower skill level job.

The salary they are offering you is below the "low" range for this NOC.

However it's not that much lower so hopefully you will be fine.

If it would be within the range for example $24. Do you think it’s ok?this will be my first job in Canada. That’s why rate is low.
