Express Entry Denied

I just got denied for express entry as I didn't provide them a valid police certificate for the USA.. Now i need to know what my options are? Can I reapply? I believe you can only apply once a year also my post graduate work permit expires in September. Is there any way I can extend my work permit?

Or should I apply for schools? would it be possible for me to get a student permit if I go back to school? Just need to view my options.

Any help is appreciated.

You can certainly reapply. You will need to re-enter the Express Entry pool and wait to be selected again. There is no rule about being able to apply only once a year. If you are selected from the Express Entry pool and submit your new application before your PGWP expires, then you can apply for a BOWP to be able to continue working. How many points do you have?

hi, I do not think you can apply just once a year. If your situation changes from the date of refusal, you can reapply. in your case, obtain the valid police certificate and reapply. Make sure you were just denied and not banned for misinterpretation, cause in that case you cant apply for 5 years. If thats' not the case, I do not see why you cant reapply.

As for schools, I know even if you apply for school again, you would not be eligible for post graduate work permit again as it is once in a lifetime thing. However, you can definitely apply for bridging open work permit once your PR is in progress.

Oh I see what you mean. So you have to start the whole process again;
However, I am confused: when you create a new application for express entry, like the first time, it says you are not eligible? how come?

yeah, it asked me if I have previously applied for express entry to which i answered yes and then it asked for my profile # and after i submitted everything, it denied my whole profile and didn't count any points.

Weird.. what did your refusal letter say? why didnt they accept the police cert? Was it because it was expired or...?

I didn't know I had to obtain it from FBI for the united states. I just reached the police department online and they provided it to me. on the letter it states that my profile is incomplete.

I did re-enter into the pool but they said my profile is ineligible which is weird.. i should have 480 points.

Oh got Cha! So basically I have to make a new profile under a different email address and reapply? Also, can you please advise if I should mention that I’ve applied in the past on my previous application?

Not too long. So did you get biometrics request and medical passed prior to the refusal?
