I think they are able to work on electronic files only. It's understandable that they can't open the offices - Mexico is in a crisis with COVID19 and their numbers are getting worse - not better. But absolutely depressing for folks whose files are still there. :-(Good morning/afternoon depending on where you live,
I just read an article on La Jornada (title: Posponen regreso de funcionarios públicos de la CDMX hasta octubre) and it said that public workers will not go back to work until October. There are some exceptions. I hope they will be able to work on our files and that we are part of the exception. Have you heard anything? We are waiting for PPR. We are exhausted.
“Hay algunas actividades que tienen que abrir las alcaldías y algunas otras áreas del Gobierno –muy importantes para trámites– que se van a abrir con toda, pues con citas y las medidas sanitarias necesarias, pero el mayor grupo de personas que se dedican principalmente a labores administrativas en el Gobierno de la Ciudad, incluidas las alcaldías, se pospone hasta octubre”, afirmó.
I understand that they can not open the office to the public or even start working as usual for their well being as workers. Where I am we’re confined with even more restrictions. However, I find it frustrating that there is no other way to process paper based applications and that some services are considered essentials but reuniting families is not as essential. Its just a general thought of exhaustion (not directed to you)I think they are able to work on electronic files only. I get it. We are over 650 days into the process and our physical file is stuck in Trinidad and Tobago. We heard not to expect anything new until at least September.I understand that they can not open the office to the public or even start working as usual for their well being as workers.
