The average before COVID was 6 months, according to IRCC. It might be longer now. There were people getting their applications processed in as little as 4 months. And those who took a lot longer than the average. Get your documents asap, and then submit asap, so that you enter the processing period. :)
Yeah it depends, one time I saw an applicant and her husband getting PPR after 45 days from AOR date.
Nowdays with the Covid situation March ,April, anf June AORs their applications will take up to 9 months for sure especially outlanders , those of maybe July( as normality is resuming) August and September may see their applications processed in a 6 months time. Lets wait and see

Need the prediction gurus to show their insight on the following:
% chances of b2b draws for tomorrow?
% chances that next draws also includes FSW?
% chances that next cutoff will be 477 or lower?

Thanks!

Well done! If you get an ITA, are you planning on settling with your brother or somewhere else?

That sounds fine to me - I don't see why IRCC could expect someone else to keep their job for your sake. Does it have that person's contact details on the letter, or the company details? Either way, someone should be able to confirm that you were working there if IRCC calls to check.
Maybe at the beginning until I find a steady job and a home of my own. I have two kids, they can be hectic. *Sigh*

A number of Canada VACs have reopened fully or partially today; that should see some of those stuck at biometrics move forward in their processing. Indian ones are still closed.

It has to be money that is readily accessible by you and that is not subject to market fluctuations. MFs and Stocks are subject to market risks and their value is not static; therefore they cannot be used as proof of funds. You will likely get hit with an additional document request if you do this. Liquidate what you need, put it in your bank, get the statement and add an letter of explanantion to explain where the funds came from.
Ok that makes sense logically. thanks :)

Guys.. I received ITA in the latest 8th July draw, For the application submission and documents, need advice on the following:

1. In my passport, my given name is my (first name) + (Father's name + Kumar) but in all other documents (like in college degrees, at work places), it is my (first name) + (Father's name only). Now they have asked for a "Legal Name change doc". What are the documents that can be given in this category?

2. Also as my brother is a PR in Canada, they have asked for a 'family member proof' & 'Proof of Sibling relationship'. What document can be given for this ?

89 days to submit.....
Anyone who can help out here...

1-With "husband" spouse 455-459 (if spouse takes 6 each module in Ielts)
2-Without "husband" spouse 465
3- Alsi I have forwarded my educational docs to CES for eca if I get Masters then with spouse score becomes 464 if I get CES equivalency on time.

What do you suggest? Sincere advices are requested please.

For anyone wanting to see lots of progress tracking, this is a great website where people enter their info for various stages of their application process: https://myimmitracker.com/en.

Shame! I can imagine. Which part of Canada is he in?

Awesome! Do you perhaps have an article that says which new ones have opened?

I don't like to ever say never because I have seen a lot of seemingly hopeless situations turned around for good. The possibilities in this world are endless. If what you want doesn't come in one way, it may come in another but it will come. That's the trick the universe sometimes plays on us.
So my fellow Canadian dreamer, keep your hope alive. Do your best and leave the rest to God. We encounter miracles on a daily basis.
I too have very low score of 462 . Hope we will get an invite. WHat is your score ?

SA hasn’t opened. You can see the updates here: https://www.vfsglobal.com/en/individuals/covid-19-customer-advisories.html

Scroll down a bit to the 14th July updates and you’ll see a section titled ‘Canada VACs reopened’.

3rd case would be the best. Exactly what degree have you sent for equivalency? The first case seems pretty unlikely for the foreseeable future unfortunately.

Hi everyone! I am gathering all documents for my PR application, I have high hopes to receive ITA on the next draw. I have 478 points and missed the last one on tie break.

I wonder if anyone can help me regarding proof of funds: I have two Bank accounts from different banks. One of them is where I receive my salary, the other is the one I have the money for POF. I usually transfer money from the one I get paid to the other one, so on the bank statements there is a money order from me to me. My question is: should I include documents from both bank accounts, and explain that one of them is always zero or close to it because I keep the money on the other one (which is the one I'll be using for POF) or am I overthinking and should just include the documents for the account with the funds for POF?
