In the process of filling out my application and it has different fields to upload offer and letter of employment. Is the offer the letter you get when you get the job and the letter stating your rules and responsibilities right? Can someone elaborate on this?

I got promoted within the same company so I mean they dint give me an "offer" per say it was more like a letter of promotion. My offer letter is when I first joined which I have but that's not in NOC 0, A or B. I got promoted to a NOC B after being there for a year. so im not sure if I just upload the offer of promotion then?

You should include both, and explain that the first period of employment with the company is not being claimed as skilled experience and that you're only claiming the experience earned after you were promoted to a qualifying NOC.

My offer letter just includes my wage, vacation stuff, start date, wage, that's it. The letter of employment includes other stuff such as duties etc. Is that good enough?

I am trying to include both but its saying if I upload 2 it will replace the first one I already uploaded. Now what do I do! lol

Jumping in to this as I'm starting to panic. Submitted my application Thursday. CEC inland, on a closed work permit with LMIA dual intent.

When it comes to "offer of employment" I uploaded the one used for the LMIA application. It does not state that the job will be permanent should I become a PR.

For Employment Records for my current job with my current employer, I uploaded a letter similar to the work experience letters of previous employments.

For the Letter Of Employment, I uploaded the employment contract for my current position. It does not state that the position will be permanent full time as soon as I have PR.

It seems I pulled the wrong letters off of my employers desk and files. Should I update through the webform?

the IRCC website is clear on the requirements for Offer of employment: it has to be a new offer and not when you initially joined the company, it has to be for future employment.

A valid job offer has to be:
  • made by one employer
  • continuous
  • paid
  • full-time (at least 30 hours a week)
  • for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
    • not seasonal
  • in a job that is NOC:
    • Skill Type 0 or
    • Skill Levels A or B
It also must be made :
  • by an employer with a new positive LMIA that approves the offer and names you and your position OR (newly issued LMIA)
  • if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and: (has to have all of these)
    • you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
    • you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
    • your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident

for letter of employment, it should be issued for your current work and has to have the following details:

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits
  • If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years])
Double check your documents and see any of these are missing and get fresh documents from your employer ASAP.

Dual intent LMIA was approved January this year. Offer is for two years, which would cover “at least one year after issuance of PR”. Work permit issued Jan 23, this year and valid two years.

I am just about to go meet my boss at the office. He has the permanent offer on paper. He actually extended that offer verbally in March. We completely forgot the paper so I’m getting it and uploading through webform.

Hello guys

I am on closed work permit with positive LMIA.

I need urgent help. I realized that I forgot to include "skill type" in my "offer of employment" which is mandatory as per CIC instructions. I submitted the application 4 months ago. Its still in process. but I am scared of refusal for that reason. how can I send the updated document?

I know that we can raise web form but I am not sure if I should do that or not as it will be a totally new document and can get mix up with the one I have already submitted.
I am really confused. any help will be really appreciated.

I'm working under a work permit and positive LMIA until Dec 2021. If I want to get the 50 scores for valid offer, do I need a new offer covers the time after Dec 2021? and do I need to a new LMIA to get the scores.

New offer letter that states it is valid 1 year after PR approval.
