GIC stands for Guaranteed Investment Certificates and actually you can manage to invest in it at a Canadian bank either through an agent or online by speaking to any staff. My father did it for me to enter university in Canada from China, we used RBC but all the big banks are available. The point is, the GIC has to be under your name, for at least $10k, and you should be fine. Paying whole year tuition should not be necessary.

The issue is my country doesn't have GIC.

Would paying CAD 17,000 for first year tution fee in full with CAD 25,000 in the bank be sufficient?
Which will be around 42,000 CAD enough?

My own brother. He is showing his businesses as source of income.

His business makes net profit of (as mentioned below) 100% apportioned to him.

COMPANY 1 - CAD 11.500 (6 months net profit)
COMPANY 2- CAD 5500 (4 months)

Financial statements were provided for all of this.

Looking at your case your visa got refused on the same day because your brother Asset is not your own assest. he can use the money anytime he wants but please i ll advise try using your parents Statement or you need to write a strong SOP to support that

Hello guys,

I have 75% in 10+2, 78% in Graduation then I have 3 years of Marketing executive experience, IELTS - 7 band overall.

I applied on 22nd May Business Management PG course for 1 year, I have paid 1 semester fees, as I was more comfortable with it! (My biometric and medical are already done from first time I applied)

For funding I have shown CAD 13K in GIC + CAD 13K of my father Income Tax Return document of 2019-2020 + CAD 2k in my own account + initial 3 months homestay in Canada of approx CAD 2K

My fees structure -

1st semester - CAD 7.5K (paid)

2nd semester - CAD 6.5k (not paid)

Question 1st - Do you think my funds are enough to show that I have can pay CAD 6.5k for my second semester?

Question 2nd - Is ITR (Income tax return) document of my father strong proof of funds? (I have made one affidavit that my father will be sponsoring for study)

Please guys give advice regrading my questions!

I applied to Mohawk College from Sri Lanka. If I pay for college the whole 1st year tuition, is there any chances?
Hi who is your agent? I am also planning to apply soon from Sri Lanka. Are they applying online? Is the vfs accepting applications?

i think sri lanka dose not fall under SDS so gic is for SDS applicants
GIC can also be used for non SDS applicants, it is still considered strong proof because you have to be inside Canada to withdraw the money and it is released on a monthly basis.
Also, it is only refundable if you show the bank proof that your study permit application was rejected by IRCC.
My suggestion is to contact a Canadian bank and ask them how you can proceed with obtaining a student GIC from wherever you are.
