Same here , and I have tweeted IRCC many times , it just come up with one answer - this is just to benefit cec. But , what about those who are losing age points , and obviously , all have worked hard to get clb9 , and inviting people below 450 is unfair for those over 460 . How would IRCC benefit those who have lost points in this suspense , and whenever the draws start happening , the immigration minister would want the scores to remain above 470 , the same he has been doing since he got elected in December .we r wasting time , no other country is doing like this , every nation has provided clarity .

Man oh man, PNP draw just happened which means CEC draw will follow next. No FSW draws have happened since March.
5 months of straight CEC/PNP draws and still counting..
Watch how the cutoff score will shoot up.. there are currently 4015 candidates just in 471-480 range... I predict the very first General draw will have a cutoff of 480+ unfortunately..

I'm thinking maybe when they lift travel restrictions, they will state which countries will not be allowed, and then they will restart all program draws, but this list of countries will be excluded.
I’m In 450. I hope all 472 will lose points coz of age and reduce so my chances of getting will come up. Hahaha
Lolz. Border closure do not have anything to do with why FSW are not being invited. Many people are still landing in Canada by air despite the so called restrictions. Chartered flights are also available for travel outside and inside Canada
Most are citizens and PRs, and a few approved PRs and those with work/study permits.
It's not open to foreigners who don't have a status in Canada.
Well, it doesn’t seem like Trudeau has interest in that. He truly wants to put Canada in the world map so barring countries at this time seem to contradict his plight so they might just have to figure out want they want to do but we should get informations regarding our future immigration plans too . At least we are applicants. A mail to our respective profiles might do if they don’t want some public broadcast
Canada was never a huge tourist destination except for those visiting Alaska.
The problem is i don't think they know when they lift restrictions and allow all program draws themselves.
Couple of things we need to take into consideration while predicting FSW draws:
- Justin Trudeau clearly said they know a lot of people are waiting to come to Canada (Students, approved PR cases as well). So it's like they can not keep it delayed for infinity. But on other hand, he refuses to make any hasty decision to avoid any lockdown situation again.
- Immigration question from Bloomberg and JT response to that gave a feeler that international application (FSW) are somehow lined with border closure
- Looks like CAN is waiting for things to get better in US and then it might be green light for all borders to open.
- Many seniors are optimistic of resumption of all program draws in next months
- IRCC advertisement of revamping the system and one point stands out in that "Immigration officers' most time will be spent on tricky cases" might mean they might improve the processing times with introducing new case processing system.
