A quick question

can a person who is on refugee status apply for Lima?
There's really no point. Your employer may be able to get an approved LMIA - however you will not be able to use this LMIA to apply for a closed work permit or PR.

No - you cannot. If you withdraw the refugee claim, this triggers a deporation order and you're' also out of status in Canada. You cannot change your status to a closed work permit.

You need to stick with the refugee claim if you want to remain in Canada.

Thanks for the info.
It’s for one of my co worker.
he is old enough and he doesn’t know the process.
some lawyer charged him 8000$ for this process.
