I don’t think they are going to remove quarantine requirement which means you will have to stay there for atleast 14 days.Hi,
My COPR was issued before March 18 and my COPR date is June 15. I am currently in US on a H-1b and was planning to do a soft landing and then come back on the same day from the airport. I think the Canada travel restrictions are till tomorrow i.e May 21 as per below
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/latest-travel-health-advice.htm
I dont know if they will be extended further.
Regarding the recent uncertainty related to H-1b, has anyone recently travelled to Canada from US and came back without any issue at the port of entry.
I have received an email from CIC, where they have asked to raise a webform If your CoPR expires before you are able to travel to Canada.
Can I raise this form even if the flights resume next week or early June. Also for how long do they postpone the CoPR date
Hello, I also have a similar query.i have a long term rental ( entire apartment)booked at Airbnb in Canada. That's sufficient as a place to quarantine and will be accepted by border security?Your welcome mate...
Ya it’s quite simple. It is not required to be notarised. Just need signatures of Landlord, Tenant and Witness on it. That’s it. Scan it in pdf and upload it as Your address proof. For primary proof upload COPR and for secondary upload Passport front and last page.
That’s it.
Thanks, As you mentioned this PRTD, I presume this is not your first landing, correct?Hi Nisu,
I landed on May-14. I've posted my experience yesterday morning in the same forum. Copied below for your reference:
Boarding - it was smooth, airlines agent did not even checked my PRTD or COPR, just checked my ID page of paper and issues boarding passes.
@ Toronto - landing was smooth. I was the only one in immigration office. Immigration competed in 10 minutes. Customs took time (around 25 mins) to process goods to follow list due to some system issue.
Service Canada is closed, so no SIN at airport or outside.
Rented a car, went straight to hotel with a stop for online grocery pickup at Walmart.

Hi,Hi guys..airindia has started booking for canada as part of phase 2 repatriation. I have recetly booked two tickets for 21st May from Delhi. Had called airindia and they said if we have letter from cic it should work.
Yes that’s perfectly fine. The officer will just ask you for separate rooms, separate kitchen, separate washrooms. You can use this agreement in online SIN application also for address proof.Hello, I also have a similar query.i have a long term rental ( entire apartment)booked at Airbnb in Canada. My friend, I understand your concern, but this virus is going to stay with us for a very long time and even with a vaccine that could come next year, we are not guaranteed safety from mutating strains, recurring infections and what not. You cannot your life on hold. You could get sick at any point, anywhere in the world. You could get COVID walking down the road to the corner shop. If you are scared, you can request an extension. But, then again, you don't know how the situation may be in the future. Is there anyone out here that's afraid to travel? My Visa's valid till mid June of sorts and even if India starts international flights before then , I'd still be super scared to travel and possibly get sick. Anyone here that's unwilling and would most likely not be traveling ?
I raised a web form on 6th May. I’ve not mentioned that in case I will get one flight then I will come within the validity of COPR. I’ve successfully submitted the web form. But on 17th I got one flight and I have not filled another web form stating that I’m coming or please ignore my web form submitted on 6th May.My sister copr is expiring on 11 June. we booked her flight that was suppose to fly on 1 June but that got canceled. now we are sending inquiry to ask for visa extension. and can we mention that we are also making every effort to arrive Canada before copr expiry. and also if we will find another ticket do we need to send another inquiry before flying(before copr expiry) please help.

Hiya,Hi
I'm stuck in Dubai since mid March while I was trying to fly to Toronto from India. My COPR expired 15 May. Now flights are resuming from Dubai so I had sent a webform informing that I'm ready to travel. I got the following response.
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that the agent who responded to you on May 15, 2020,
took the appropriate actions to follow up on your request.
If you do not receive more information or a decision by June 14, 2020, we invite you to contact us again by using the
IRCC Web form available on our website.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.
I had raised the first webform on 27 April, for which I got a generic response on 15 May.
My COPR has expired, but you should take the direct Emirates flight in case your COPR is still valid.Hiya,
I would advise you to get in touch with the Dubai consulate. I am in the same situation as you and infact there have been flights since April/May to Canada from UAE. The Dubai consulate has been helping with such bookings (both citizens and PR holder), basically you fly to Frankfurt or London via emirates/etihad and then to Canada via Air Canada. The Consulate has a whole list of flights that you could take, they kept updating it on a google sheet, and two travel agencies that are making such direct bookings for both airlines all the way to Canada.
Emirates has now resumed its direct flights to Toronto, there is one every other day. So I guess contacting the consulate would no longer needed.
