I think you should act like stocks investors.
Just forget about it and live your life at least for 1.5 years after application.
They will reach to you when they need medical exam or police certificate.
Oh I'm sorry I didn't mention, my son is planning to go to university next year and if you are not a PR, you have to get a study permit. He is going to have about 2 months to complete all applications. So it is crucial for us to get PR, or he is going to be studying next term making him wait for 6 months in total. But I understand no one can tell how long is it going to take. If someone on this forum has any idea about this problem I would love to hear it! anyway thanks for answering.

This is quite understandable. But there is nothing wrong in him starting with a study permit pending when your PR comes. I will do the same.

Hi don’t wait for next semester unless university offers course fees as same as local student . You can apply study permit in advance and get it before semester starts. Check study permit processing time on website

As I know, your sone has to get a study permit and go to university as an international student until you get PR.

I think if his son has received the protected person status, he can apply as a local student. Numerous universities offer admissions to protected persons as locals. I think he should read university guidelines.
