Hey guys, Similar Situation. No PPR/COPR. Emailed CIC-Winnipeg on Saturday, regarding landing & expired work permit and they sent a confusing email. They were the ones who cancelled the appointment, so not sure why they are telling me fill out a web form instead. Any suggestions ? Should I ask them again or just fill out the web form?

Good day,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding your application. Please see link below for the appropriate channels for requesting a status update on your application. All requests through the appropriate channels are triaged and actioned accordingly.

I had a landing appointment booked in Saskatoon office and i have emailed them regarding my landing and i have received this reply

At the present time, your application cannot be finalized because your Dependant is residing overseas. Your application will be monitored and you will be advised once changes are able to be made

Can someone please tell me about this as i am so stressed

Hi. Would you please clarify your case? You sponsor your parents or your parents sponsor you. It was your parents who got the email, right?

Congratulations on becoming a PR. That is very good news. You should should apply for the pr card now,
In my opinion, its only because of Covid that your passport is taking a long time to come back to you. I think its not seized, but is safe with them, and the delay is due to Covid. Pr cards are also taking about 130 days to arrive from what I am reading. If you have any tracking number given, that's a good way to track. Its great that you raised the web form. You can also call centers.
Or contact your local MP if it is urgent. Another facebook group Ask Kubeir is also very informative and reliable is getting answers from candidates and experts. Hope this helps!

Not yet. CoPR and photo were received by government on April 29.
I sent only the letter ( CoPR -sent instead of landing appointment) and 1 picture.
Should I send any other form?
Additionally, did you receive any confirmation if they received your application

I am waiting since March, the same. My dependent is outside and can't come now. The officer is nice replying my emails. He told they have clear instructions no landing for such applicants, only for those whose all family members inside. I feel really discriminated but what is an option? The officer told to be patient. I just hope they will finally open the offices for regular services soon.
It's very stressful to read that people are getting these emails and asking what's wrong with me? Is it my fault as a main applicant that my dependent outside Canada? I followed all rules and suffered the same but for me and others in the same situation there is no email?!
Sorry, guys, congratulations for everyone who is lucky to allow yourself your family this time and finally get this formality for pr.

I know your feeling exactly. My mother got CoPR by my sponsorship, but they don’t even respond to my request with a single word.

So you mind if i ask when is your COPR expiring.??
I mean its very stressfull to see this as per the rules dependant cant come to canada until principal applicant become permanent resident .

So what should we do? did you try asking them that your dependent can come to canada without your landing? Any other informtion they gave you?
If someone COPR is expiring soon then what they will do??

You have the same questions i had. They don't reply them because they just follow the instructions.

I am lucky in one thing - my COPR is valid till October. But still I can't work as I have closed work permit and lost a job, my daughter needs to apply to the University. But THEY DON'T CARE!

Nobody replied how my dependent will get to Canada without my validating status, they don't know.

That's why I'm saying that kind of discrimination has a place. Because we are treating not like the other applicants without reason. I'm just curious if mass media know about this unpublished demand to have all defendants in Canada?

I still have time to wait but I have no idea when this stupid situation will have any sence. Closed borders, no flagpoint, closed offices, no pr email but they get huge salary staying at home and doing nothing while someone like me wants to work to stay alive.

I do apologize for emotional message but I think we all understand each other like nobody else. Let's stay in touch and update if any changes.
