I am in the same boat and planning to do my landing, live at a friend's place for two weeks and fly back into US. Where did you find the online quarantine form, can you share that please!!

Your friend would also then have to commit to quarantine for 14 days and wouldn’t be able to leave his/her home as well. If you have your own separate apartment in the home isolation would be an option versus quarantine.

I think self quarantine does not have any restrictions if it is a known person's destination until and unless they have any health issues or symptomatic. This is what I see based on the online self-quarantine form. Did you see source which specifies quarantine with known people is not allowed? just trying to get insight into the aspect.

You can stay with your knowns, but they mentioned to be without contact. Staying in same home with a friend might not justify the quarantine plan and you may be forced to go to hotel. But, these are just assumptions, it will depend on how you will explain to them and how the officer takes it.

You can't have a shared bathroom unless the other person is also quarantining for the full 14 days.

entering US on H1 or J1 visa is not immigration.

What was the reason of not traveling? No flights or you preferred not to travel?

I was supposed to travel on 19th March however Canada imposed travel ban on 18th March. Later on, lockdown started in India so couldn't travel. Mentioned both the reasons in webform.

Yes, this is an automated reply as I received the same generic reply. Even I'm waiting for a more specific response. But not sure the more specific reply will go the email ID I used while raising the webform or to the email ID I provided in the express entry profile.

Trump doesn't differentiate between "entering the US to live and work" and "entering the US to live and work on a permanent basis". The new restrictions are believed to affect all entry.

Not sure it really is that clear given Trump just had this latest brain wave to impress his base late in the evening. It is just yet another deflection to impress his base that he is doing a good job which he is not. The press seem to think it is likely to halt all US PR applications and work permits but not travel entry beyond those already banned given that would completely freeze his grand reopen for business plans.

Expect at Tuesdays briefing he will do a grand executive order signing to show his base he is as far as they are concerned protecting jobs even though his adminstrations COVID response has to take credit which they will not of course for current unemployment increase which is not as result of new immigrants who the US like Canada depend on..

Court cases are sure to challenge anything so whether implemented straight away time will tell

Congratulations! Everything indicates that it is best to notify them one week before CoPR expires or after it is already expired. Apparently people who are raising webform way before the CoPR expiration date are receiving automatic responses.

Nothing like that.I raised exactly 1 week before expiry. I have not even got automated response till date for that one.Its been more than a month.

Damn that sucks buddy. When did your CoPR has expired? And what were your justification for not to travel?

Your friend will have to remain in quarantine with you for 14 days. Means both of you must remain inside for all that time.

Didn’t you qualify to travel since you had your COPR approved before March 18?

On March 18th, they just imposed a common ban with no specific details. And as per the memo released on March 18th, COPR holders were not allowed to enter Canada. They did give all these other details after 18th March sometime around 24th 25th March and then they allowed COPR holders to enter Canada. But by that time, lockdown started in India and all the international flights were cancelled.
