Student Visa for September 2020 intake

Hello friends,
I have applied paid my college fees along with GIC. Now in Gujarat, India we are observing complete lockdown of 21 days. Most likely it will be extended.

I have got my seat confirmation email from canandian college but now I worry that should I start my student visa process online for September 2020 intake given this situation I don't think I can go for any medical exam nor travel to Ahmedabad where I biometric data is to be given.

Any one with similar situation or who are going to Canada on student visa SEP 2020 intake, please guide me and others as to should they start their visa process or defer the admission having paid for one year college tuition fees and GIC already

Don't worry September is still 5 months due, So you have ample of time to do the medical and biometrics. Im a may intake student and filled my sds visa on 26th march and my medical and biometric was done already because of my previous filing in jan intake, Still there is no response from the IRCC application and even people applied for visas in the end of feb and start of March are also waiting for the dicision. Just stay in touch with your consultancy and once the situation comes in little control you can file your visa. I don't think there is any need to take a deferral in your case at this moment.

I submitted my application on 3rd March and completed medical on 17th Feb and completed biometrics on 5th March. Since that day till now I haven't received any update from IRCC because IMO they have put all the application on hold because of lockdown.

If you want to complete your medical test, just call the hospital. You can find the number in this link https://secure.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx
Since we have lockdown till 14th April. I'd suggest you to wait till 15th and then book your appointment. You have good amount of time to apply for September intake.

For SDS category what forms did you need to fill, can you please give an extensive list of forms e.g.imm 1294 etc

I have applied through SDS. And as far as I remember, if you're applying online, you can fill up the questionnaire which also includes question about whether you're applying through SDS or Non-SDS. And about the forms, I have submitted study permit IMM 1294 form and family form IMM 5645.

I got my conditional offer letter for September intake 2020 and I need to pay the confirmation deposit fee before May 6th.At this present situation due lockdown it will be difficult for me to get student visa .I am confused, is there any way to sort this out?I need a suggestion regarding visa application.As everything is getting late due to this pandemic is there chance for a extended visa application time? Or any other alternative method to get things done.

Well you have plenty of time for applying to embassy however you should contact your college and explain your situation so that they can extend your deadline for tuition fees
