Hi, So recently I have applied for restoration of status within Canada, the application signed date is within the time period, however, I was able to submit the application online after a day of 90 day period after I was able to confirm payment. How much will that affect my restoration status?

IRCC needs to receive the restoration application within the 90 days. If IRCC received your application on the 91st day, then unfortunately you should be expecting a refusal. At this point there's nothing you can do but wait for IRCC to process the application. However you should be planning on receiving a refusal and determining what you will do if that happens.

Hi, thanks for your response, what would my option be if that is the case. The date signed in the application is on the 90th day just online submission was on 91st as my payment didn't process. if I get refused what will my option be and what should I be planning for as I am enrolled for winter 2020 to continue my program.

You would need to leave Canada if the restoration application is refused. It won't be possible to fix your status from within Canada. You'll need to leave and reapply for a study permit from outside of Canada.

Unfortunately the date the application was signed is irrelevant. It's all about when the application was received by IRCC - which has to be within the 90 days. There is some small chance that IRCC might break their own rules and approved the PGWP - however you should have a back up plan in case they don't (which would be to leave Canada).

How long does it usually take them to receive the application? when should I be expecting to receive a word about my application? If there is no chance and will take a while, I would rather go and try to apply for a study permit outside Canada instead asap since I have winter enrolment.

It's hard to say - restoration can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.

Okay, Thank You. Should I wait for the processing or start packing? what would be the best course of action now? My status expired on end of July on 30th and the application I send was today few hours ago, so what are the chances. I uploaded everything Yesterday still

Sorry - I can't tell you what your chances are. You'll need to be the one to make the decision on whether to stay and wait or leave. Good luck and hope it works out.

Applied for restoration Feb 21 2020. No biometrics submitted either (they might waive it off or issue a WP and ask for biometrics later).
