Soft landing in March/April 2020 and coronavirus concerns

Hi,

Does anyone need to do soft landing in March/April 2020? Are you/should we be concerned about coronavirus and re-entry into the US?

Of course anything concerning this virus would be speculation but based on Trumps actions this week with EU flights you could speculate he may at some point consider shutting temporarily the Canada and Mexico border completely both land,air and sea if someone convince him that this 'foreign virus' can come in that way never mind US residents exporting the virus in the other direction which is more than likely at some point.

As for re-entry into the US I guess unless a citizen or Green card holder then reentry is never guaranteed virus or not just the virus adds another dimension to entry or not should someone be infected.

I am in the same boat with all the news floating around not sure how to complete the soft landing

I have my COPR ending on april 4th and i also scheduled H1B visa slot on march 30th and booked flight on march 26th for landing. I am on the same boat.

I’m physically at a US Canada border town now preparing to land if any border closing is about to be imposed. Have to wait for my car to arrive otherwise would do it immediately. Hope is gov will give few days notice before shutting border down. Will update how it goes.

Which border are you olanning to cross east coast or west coast ?

Thinking next week after my car arrive. But still keep an eye on the border news, might land earlier if Canada is to close border. For what I saw now, Trudeau is considering it. Don’t know when it will be and how exactly it’ll be carried out, just have a feeling it’ll probably be soon.
