Hello,

My parents both did the medical examination on December 12th, today I received an email for Additional Medical Examinations Required for my dad only.

What does this mean?

Thank you for your help.
Hello,

I received the same letter for my mother who has MS today. Do you have any update? What did they ask for additional Medical Examination? Were your parents approved? Thanks

Hi All:
My mom has also been sponsored by my brother for a US Green Card. She got approved last year, made her US entry in May 2019. Subsequently she also got her Canadian immigration sponsorship under PGP 2019 (which I am sponsoring) approved, we are at PPR stage for that.

My brother in the US says that if the US immigration authorities see she has also applied for Canadian PR they may likely cancel her green card. Basically it shows intent to immigrate to another country, and that is one of the grounds mentioned for cancellation of the green card.

Question --> Has any one on this forum also sponsored their parents (through another sibling) for US immigration? If so, and if both were approved (US & Canada sponsorships), were there any problem on the US side? Or any problems anticipated (since it may be too early to test this)?
Reason for asking is that my mom will have to go back and forth from US to Canada as she fulfils her residency requirements (3 out of 5 years to get citizenship in both countries). In one of these border crossings, if US immigration flags the Canadian immigration as a problem, then they may cancel her green card....
Yes there have been other people in the situation where green card have been cancelled. It is seen more in spousal sponsorship. Also tough to meet both requirements at the same time.

I have called call centre few times and every time they say file is complete and in normal processing time

Even the MP said the same thing .. file is complete and in normal processing time

They want us to wait 2 years before taking any futher action ... I kept explaining that all i want is to approve us a sponsor but they keep saying oh its ok its still within normal processing timeline
It hasn’t even been a year. There are some people still waiting for approval for PGP2017 and 2018. All you can do is wait.

For "Permanent Residence Application Status" I see that it got updated to "Decision Made" but I didn't receive any email yet. What does that mean? how will I know if it is approved?
