Sponsoring PR to my new born

Me and my wife got our PR card in July-2019. She was pregnant when she had to travel to India for personal reasons and gave birth to our child in India. They are still in India.
I am initiating the application to sponsor my child for Canadian PR.
I would like to know what should be filled in the Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent/Guardian for Minors Immigrating to Canada (IMM 5604) section in the checklist and what supporting documents should be provided.
I have not listed my wife as co-signer as she is not in Canada, should I list my her as the co-signer?

Thanks in advance.

Neither of you are non-accompanying the minor to Canada. Why do you believe you need to fill that declaration out?

Thanks for your quick response.
The confusion is because my wife is not in Canada and I have not seen any section where I would declare this information or provide her PR details.
Should I just mark that section as N/A ? Do I need to include my Wife's PR card copies in the application?

I do have a similar situation. However my wife and child are in Canada with the child on visitation visa. I am confused about whether to fill the IMM 5604. My wife won't be a co-signer as she is not working right now. Your help is appreciated.

I have not provided the form IMM 5604 and marked N/A in the checklist. I have attached the copies of my wife's PR and an explanation on why I am not providing IMM 5604. I have sent my application and waiting for acknowledgement.

Thanks for the response. I did same and sent to the Sydney office. Waiting for acknowledgement. Was told they are currently processing December 13th applications currently at the Sydney office for dependent child applications. Hopefully they get to the January applications soon

How did you check that they are processing December 13th applications, is there a tracker published online or a service desk number?

Got an email this evening that the application has been received from CIC Sydney. I wonder how long to get the eligibility email. Do you have any idea? I think thats the one needed for OHIP application
With Eligibility if you mean sponsor evaluation, then it should be within a week or less.
When did you send your application and how(courier or regular Canada Post)?

Sent it on 13th January via Courier and it got delivered on the 15th January.
Found this on OHIPs website for eligibility :
  • have applied for permanent residence, and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has confirmed that:
    • you meet the eligibility requirements to apply
    • you have not yet been denied

I am not sure about it, I would suggest that you visit ServiceOntario to get correct information.
Did CIC mention the application received date?
Please keep posting updates, it helps.

hi,
1. what proof i can show in imm5534E,Part B: supporting documents required:- no.8:additional proof of relationship to sponsor:- while sponsoring dependent children born outside Canada? Father has neither been able to come to India to see them & hence, nor is there any photo of him with children.. children are with mother in India and are now five month old twins.
2. any idea if children born outside Canada can get child benefits?(both parents are PR). Or they can get child benefits only after they become PR themselves?
