Hey Everyone,

My name is Harpreet and I came to Canada in January 2019 with Business Diploma program in Saskpolytech College. My study permit is till July 2020. I failed in 3rd semester which was from September to December and now I have to repeat 3rd semester and that starts in September 2020. So instead of being a part time student from jan 2021 till my 3rd semester starts I took admission into a 8 month course from jan to august in Regina Uni.
Saskpolytech said they can provide me with a customised letter of acceptance which will show ny program from september 2020 to august 2021 in February but my confusion is that if I apply in February for extension by using the enrollment letter which says my course is from September to January can they refuse or ask for proof what I'm going to do between December to September? Please I desperately need help

you need to apply with enrollment letter ,that states you are currently enrolled in this program , not saying your program will start from this month to that month ( that does not look enrollment letter , it looks like letter of acceptance ).You will not get study permit extension with letter of acceptance , because that is not a proof of that currently you are studying, because many students have letter of acceptance but they are not going to college or I mean not actually study in that time.

So if the date is not stated on enrollment letter then how will the officer know how much time extension I need? And can I get enrollment letter in February if my classes start in September?

enrollment letter usually says , this student with this ID number , currently enrolled in this program that is going to end on this date for example 26 April 2020 . It never says program started on this this date . And it has that date as well on the date college issued this enrollment letter like if they issued to you today it will display 2020-01-18.

Oh Alright and can the college provide letter of enrollment in February even if the classes start in September?

If your classes starting in September 2020 and you want to get enrollment letter from college in Feb 2020 , I do not think so this is possible . but sometimes it vary from college to college , just check with college.

I did this mistake , applied for SP on the basis of letter of acceptance , fees paid but not enrolled at that time in program, so no enrollment letter . Result , I got REDUCTION in my study permit .

Then do I need to register on Canada.ca and update my DLI name and number because I changed schools?
yes you need to do this , this is very important . I am wondering , why you cannot get enrollment letter from regina uni , because you are going to study there from jan 2020 to august 2020 . and your study permit will expire in july 2020 .
