Hi Seniors,
I am expecting PPR for my mother any day now. The DM date is December 17,2019. They had returned biometric fee also as my mother is 80+. The application is being processed in Mississauga and we got her medical and PCC done here in Canada. She has gone to San Francisco , California and would return to Canada in end March. If she were to get the PPR by next week , can she deposit her passport for visa stamping at VFS San Francisco, California.

You can use any VFS office. However, your mom's passport will be mailed back to the same VFS office. So, she will have to collect her passport at VFS SFO office if she uses that location to submit her passport.

I am not an expert, just my two cents.
Webform seemed to be the best option at this point. There is still time to prepare and research since no news has been announced yet for PGP2020.
You cannot apply for just one parent unless they are divorced or legally separated. Decide who will be the principal applicant and the other automatically becomes dependent.
Keep in mind once they start the sponsor approval process, there will be no refund except the Right of Permanent Resident Fee.

Alright, sounds good. I'll first submit a web form and get a response. Will keep you posted on this. Thank you for your advice.

your own form wont work, imm5562e is the name of form issued in nov 2019, google it and you will get hold of it

Did you get it from NDVO? Anyways, go to this link >> https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides.html and select form IMM5562

When we book, it only ask for file number which is same for both parents, did Service Canada team specifically asked for separate?

I put the same Application # but the appointment is tomorrow so I will find out more then.
