Hi all,

I am in Ontario and my transcript was issued on 03rd February, 2019 and I applied for my pgwp on 07th February, 2019 (I got 3 year pgwp in May 2019). However, I started working full time as a Software Developer on 21st January. I think I am in deep trouble. What are my options?

So you've worked full time, illegally, from 21 January to 7 February.

When did you get confirmation of graduation? Was it separate from transcripts?

It may or may not be discovered by IRCC. As suggested above, you need to declare it truthfully any time you are asked.

I have checked my emails and found no such confirmation of graduation. Therefore, I concluded that my official transcript is the confirmation. As soon as the transcript was delivered, I applied for pgwp.

Thanks all for replying. I have read that if you are found working illegally, you are not eligible for PR.

Therefore, my concern is how it would affect my case? Is this a major issue for me or I would get a pass?

You have worked illegally, not sure why you think you'd get a pass.

It's just whether or not IRCC finds out about it. You also should not lie, if any form asks you if you have violated terms of a permit or worked without permission, you must say yes. If you say no and they discover it, you're in bigger trouble.

Don't give up hope! A lot of us have been in this boat, unfortunately.

I'm still waiting on the outcome of my PR application - AOR is Oct 16. I've heard that the CIC staff are forgiving for students as a ton of us have made this mistake... fingers crossed that they'll be lenient and forgive us too!

Yep. One of my friends is also in the same boat. I can imagine some of us make this mistake. Do let me know what happens with your case. I wish you good luck! :)
