I've got accepted into Conestoga college in Ontario.Applied for Student visa (online) on 6th nov. Got refused on 18th Nov .
Reason,
*I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
I applied for the GCMS notes and it said ,
*I have reviewed all the documentation provided for this application.Applicant has weak academic background.Based on all information in the application including the applicants language abilities, previous education, travel history, personal establishment, financial abilities and ties to home country, I am not satisfied applicant is a Bonafide student who will leave Canada at the end of the authorised stay. Application refused.
After this my consultancy told me to make some changes in my SOP and apply again offline. The second time I included the details about my family here, how i iould like to return to india to look after my family business and my family.
The documents i provided were
1) First year tution deposit receipt
2) GIC reciept
3) Parent support letter
4) SOP
I applied for a second time (offline) on Nov 25th.I got refused again on 20th Dec.The reason stated was
*Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.

I would really like some help. What should i do ?My classes starts on Jan 13th

my academic profile,
10th : 98%
+2 : 88%
B.Tech (Mechanical ): 7.05 CGPA
IELTS: overall 8.0
I'm planing to do a pgdiploma in applied manufacturing management.its a 2 year program.
I completed B.tech on 2018 and have 9 months experience a safety engineer.

You were refused in the first place based on your weak academic background. The second application submitted did not seem to address the issue at hand. What do you plan to study for , degree, diploma or certificate and your highest education ?

My friend who is having lower marks (60%) and lower ielts (7.0) and more arriers than me (17) got admission to the same college and same course for this intake.he applied for his visa on October and got approval on first try within 14 days.
( P.S: I mentionedmy in my SOP that i had backpapers during the first 2 years of my study (8 in total.)
But my friend who has 16 arriers didn't mention this in his SOP )

Are you trying to use a study permit as a way to stay in Canada or to establish permanent residency in Canada?

your academic profile seems fine so don't know why visa officer was not satisfied, quite unusual.you can try going for masters in an university rather than a diploma in a college.you can also try applying to other countries where chances are higher if you just want to study abroad.

The thing is that my friend already got accepted. That was our plan. For both of us to go together .So if anyway i could get into the same college and same course it would be great.

you can try but without making changes in application and addressing the concern chances won't be that great.you can also try ordering gcms notes again maybe officer wrote the concern in more detail this time.sometimes luck matters hope you get visa if you decide to apply again.

Explain why you want to go for PG diploma and how would it help you in your country considering you have work experience and visa officers need an explanation why you are suddenly leaving your job and expending so much money to get a diploma only issue with your application when you applied for the 2nd time was your chosen field of study does not make sense to them try and explain in detail

your profile doesnt seem as weak as what the vo said, but your luck could just be bad. you can try applying again.

however, exactly how does your proposed course fit into your career? cause you already have a job as an engineer. i dun see how a post grad diploma helps "enhance" your career or your btech
You see my family runs a manufacturing factory.Im familiar with manufacturing aspects of the business but inorder to successfully run it I'll need experience in the management aspect as well. This course fits my desire perfectly

yes your profile is excellent and you have many reasons to return back too but i have seen many people like you that just get rejected because they are going for diploma after graduation what the visa officers need to know is how will enhance your abilities because you are already talented enough you are a professional engineer you have excellent language ability etc and B tech in mechanical after that 9 months work experience as an safety engineer after that going for diploma in applied manufacturing management might be the perfect choice for you but you really need to convince them there is nothing else you can do except write a better SOP and convince them its the right course of you

Now I understand. You need to clarify with LOE in your next application why and what you have done i.e a resit/retake. If possible get letter from previous institution stating how you have satisfied the program requirement. Is there much gap in your education? How long have you left school? Your age may also be a factor. Also, your marital status.

Why are you not considering EE or Provincial nominee? Just think you may be a good candidate in the pool. Since you said you have family member in Canada, if I am right.
