Do know that Foreign worker stream requires a minimum of 2 years of work experience, Canadian or Overseas or both combined.

For PNP which doesn't depend on Express Entry, you don't have to give IELTS. If you want to go for EE based provincial programs, they're still open and you need to give IELTS, have EE profile filled. Province will choose desired candidates from EE stream.
Also to add, IELTS requirement is waived off for this stream of PnP - Employer offer, only for certain NoC codes. For SW engineering, you dont need IELTS.

Hello Everyone, I moved to Canada in Aug on ICT work permit. I have job offer and 12 years work experience in same category. can I apply for ONIP with job offer once it opens up may be in 2020 and do I need to give IELTS test also? Please suggest.

Thanks
Koti
Yes, you can. You should demostrate more than 2 years under the same NOC in the last 5 years (Canada or oversea), have the employer form filled by your employer, and no IELTS needed if NOC is A or B.

· Biometrics, when you get AOR they ask for the biometrics. You will have 30 days to do it.
· MR - Medical Request, as I saw in Immitracker it takes 3-6 months after AOR. You will have 30 days to do it.
· MEP - Medical passed. About 2-3 weekd after you do the consultation with the doctor
· BG Check - Background check
· Decision Made
· PPR - Passport Request
· CoPR - Confirmation of Permanent Residence

I don't know the times after MEP, I didn't search for that info yet.

PR process will continue irrespective of applicant changing or loosing the job.

If applicant need to work, they require a valid permit which implies work permit. To get work permit from IRCC, applicant need to submit OINP work permit support letter. To get that support letter, applicant need to submit the payslips, job offer letter (some kind of authentication that they're employed).

If applicant doesn't want to work, then they don't have to go through this hassle. Then they're deemed as illegal (or else they need to provide some sort of legal/ implied status).

Applicant can't apply for Bridging open work permit as your PNP work permit support letter mentions closed one. So, applicant need to apply for closed work permit from IRCC which has expiry as PNP work permit support letter (I assume).

Thanks for the reply, since the nomination is employer based(the employer name shown on the nomination certificate), and I suppose the work permit support only eligible to my current employer? it means I might not able to apply for new work permit based on current PNP?
