All depends what n how much time she has been visiting Canada. She must not appear to be living in Canada full-time. It is up to the border agent whether she is let in and for how long. I think it would be very unusual to be denied entry but depending on how much time she has spent at home And in Canada in the past year or two she may not get the full 6 months or may not receive an extension after getting the 6 months. If you want your mother to visit for longer periods you should consider a supervisa.

And also she requires to do medical exam and she’s planning to do it in our country, do I need to wait for the result of the exam or I can book her ticket now going here?
The extension is now approved, is there any sense if I waited for the result of exam?
Thank you so much for your quick response.

1. The extension is no longer valid, as she has left Canada.
2. She should do the medical before attempting to enter Canada.

Are you sure about the first point. Recently, my family members got extension (aka visitor record) till next year. Then they visited their home country for three weeks to attend a family function and came back to Canada. The border officer only asked, if they live here and have visitor record document and then let them go without looking at the documents.

Hello, do you think I can book my mother’s ticket now going back here or need to wait first for the result of medical exam? She got approval already for her visitor extension

Yes, the first point is correct. Visitor status ends when a person leaves Canada. Your mother will be evaluated as a new visitor by CBSA upon entry.

The extension is irrelevant. Yes, she should do the medical before attempting to return to Canada.

Do I need to wait for the results or I can book her flight ticket now?

Was their visit visa still valid or did they re-enter Canada with only the visitor extension record document?

Both are different things.. They have a valid visa however it seems their visitor record is also valid even after leaving/re-entering Canada (since border agent didn't mention anything about the visitor record).

Yes, both are different things.
If visa is valid, then they can re-enter Canada (without even showing the visitor extension record).
If visitor extension record is valid but visa is expired, they may not be guaranteed re-entry into the country.

I concur. Visa extension is basically to extend your permitted stay in Canada not an authorization to re-enter Canada. Foreign national or those visitor that are not visa-exempt are required to possess a valid visa to enter Canada. The extension of stay is only valid for one time only. However, CBSA officer has discretion in evaluating individual visitors.
