Yes, You need to submit passport in VAC after final decision. I think they will also send you option to courier passport to VAC/.

Where you submit your application online or VAC center ?
If you submitted paper based at VAC center then you will need to track by VAC provided id on VAC portal only.

I submitted online application for Visitor visa for my parents on 26th Nov, got the biometric request on 28th Nov.
We book appointment for 3rd Dec for both my mom and dad.
Next day, the profile of my dad got updated saying that the biometrics has been received. But for my mother, it is still saying that 'your action is required' ,although both of them went to Biometric center at same time.
I have send mail to DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca as well as raised the web enquiry.
Any one else has seen this issue before ?

Don't worry my family gave bio metric on 21st November but that updated on 3rd of December in account.
Did you got email with subject "Visitor acknowledge letter" ?? Your processing will start after that only.

Can you please tell me location where you applied. Also check your correspondence letter and let us know location that mentioned in the end.
