Ghost updates and background check?

I applied for a study permit from the UAE on the 29th of October. I got 3 ghost updates that said "application/profile updated", and I got the third one today, and my background check is still on

Any idea when I will receive a decision?

When did you apply? It has been 5 and a half weeks and I still did not receive a response.

October 30th received confirmation
July 30th did Biometrics
Now it has been over processing time and still no response.

I submitted my application for the second time in Thursday, 4 days ago , 2 days later I got an update saying my back ground just started to be checked , I also got an ghost email

No it hasn’t for my country is 4 weeks , i got denial last time in 14 days , and i saw someone who got their approval in just 9 days
Hope we both get visas , where are you applying from?

Good luck! I am also applying for a second time. I am so nervous and scared that it will get rejected again.

Applying from the UAE! I heard it is hard to get a visa from there. Where are you applying from?

Maybe you can check with them because I applied 14th of November from vfs in wafi mall and got the approval on 28th of november

Yeah I know I was surprised as well, I got rejected the first time I applied in July and got the refusal in a month exactly, but this second time it only took them 15 days. I've been seeing a lot of people getting it quickly lately.

Wow that's crazy. I also applied July and received rejection EXACTLY a month later. Now I applied and didn't get anything for 6 weeks... Very strange.
