Hello guys, first post here. I am at 469 and I just got a nomination from Alberta. I am yet to accept it. I have to start all over again in Alberta if I accept it. Been in Ontario 5 years. My dilemma is whether to wait for the scores to go down or just accept the nomination. I feel it is close but I don't want to lose my plan b (nomination) and btw I have maxed out my ielts. I want to hear your opinions.
When is your NOI expire? next draw probably 470 or 469 with time-break

Do you mean notification of interest or actual pnp nomination? If you are getting a nomination what is stopping you from accepting it? It's a no brainer.. you might have to invest a few months of your time in Alberta.. but heck it's not worth taking any risk!! Even if it's just a notification of interest.. you should just go for it!!

It's random like any specialized draw. They had first one in August, I believe.

PS it's not exactly a draw. It's an OINP nomination. So you would have to apply for it (if they are interested in your profile) and if you pass, you get additional 600 points.
Any prediction when can this tech nomination happen again? I'm stuck at 468 and feeling hopeless with these draws :(

I've never tried to predict CRS cut-offs. There are a lot of people on ROH threads who have been predicting CRS for a long time and seem to get it right as well. I was just curious to look at the data based on some recent cut-offs which have been stayed insanely high for quite some time.

Below are the numbers I picked from the last 3 ROH threads. Just looking at the trending of # of people in 600+ and 451-600 range it appears score below 470 may be tough for next few draws. Ofcourse, how it pans out depends on the distribution between 451-600 which is not available. But if recent trends hold 470 seems like a new normal or may be it has been for a while.

ROH thread 130 131 132

# of invites 3900 3600 3600
CRS Cut off 475 472 471

600+ score 1,255 757 709
451-600 12,999 14,180 14,915

In October 2019, many folks had back and forth discussions on the ROH threads.. The Topic was, most of guys felt that Nov and Dec will have 5 draws in total.

Very few guys agreed to my prediction. I said it's a 50-50 chance we might have 4 draws or we might have 3 draws in last couple of months.

Please understand the below facts -

1)IQAS has stopped intake for fresh ECA's for 6 months until June 2020.
2) Try calling WES or CES, the call wait times are now just unreal, plus their turnaround times are just falling apart.
3) Visit the post June AOR threads on this forum or check some trackers on other websites, there is a clear indication that the turnaround times for PR processing is increasing in 85% plus cases, it's just the 15% of the cases which are getting approved very fast under 3 months.
4) Compare the pool size and carefully notice the total number of candidates in the last 10 months.

All the above points are proving just the same thing. It's getting too crowded now, IRCC will not miss any chance to miss a FSW draw be it because they can squeeze a FST draw in between or owe it because of a series of public holidays.

In Aug 2019 during a radio station interview in Surrey B C the EX immigration minister said very clearly " Express entry draws are like a competition, whoever can outshine the others in pool, they are always welcome".. when I heard this quote from that interview, it was clear.. they have no vision to keep the scores in such a range in which CEC or international students are not impacted..

I would request everyone to be very cautious and always keep a buffer going forward with the predictions. The new immigration minister could be the only Ray of hope, if incase he wishes to make some tweaks which at the moment looks like a very slim chance.

Enjoy the last month of the year everyone!! Cheers!!

Skipping draws causes more harm than PNP in the EE pool .. just look at the outcome of the draw that was skipped in October .

I agree. EE is not a priority for the government. There are more important visas such as visitor visa or student visa, which are processed by the same immigration officers who work on the PR applications. If the processing of these visas is impacted, EE will be one of the first programs lined up for cuts

It is an actual nomination certificate.

I have 24 days left to accept the certificate of nomination
