Sorry, if my statement was confusing. I just asking about the steps. How does it work?
Is it like, first we can see online that our application is approved and then we get an email?
Lol... got excited for a moment.

I think I read somewhere that the Online status is updated in real time but I'd assume that the email would be sent at the same time or very soon after.

Thanks.

It's really tough waiting.
I know, right? I'm a bit of a workaholic... I just wanna get back out there. I see a lot of jobs in my field, but keep hoping they don't dry up during the winter months.

Once I see your approval and/or that of other early September applicants, I'll feel confident enough to start applying, knowing that I can present a strong enough case to potential employers.

Tell me about it... Who knew not working would be such hard work! I can’t wait to get back out there...

Ohhhhhh, I think I just got a ghost update on my PR app! I got the "Application/Profile Updated" message instead of "Submitted" and when I clicked on it, nothing - when I clicked back, says "Submitted" again. I really shouldn't check this often, I'm going to be thinking about it endlessly now lol.

Still haven't been able to link OWP, for the record.

Hey guys I've made 2 posts asking this because I'm currently freaking out. Please help!

Hey guys so I had a question about PR and OWP.
I am from the US and my husband is a Canadian citizen. We have been together 2 years, married since July 20th of this year. We finally just got our marriage certificate to apply inland PR and OWP. Ive been here a year and just applied for a visitor extension, which they responded back not even a week later allowing me to stay for 6 months instead of the year I asked for.
My questions are:
▪︎Will I be able to apply for another visitor extension if my OWP isnt approved, or hasn't been approved by the time im supposed to leave in May 2020?
▪︎Do you think if I apply for the visitor extension and show them where im at in the process they will extend it enough to recieve an answer on PR?
▪︎Since i've been here as a Visitor from the US. I havent worked in a year. When applying for an OWP, will I need to contact my previous jobs to show proof I worked before? Or can I just put down the jobs I had. I was unsure since I wont need a LIMA or a job offer since i'm applying inland with my PR and my husband is sponsoring me.
▪︎I have a 10 year old daughter currently in the US who is in school, if I get approved for a OWP can she come here and start school or would it be better for her to stay in the US until our PR app is approved?

Yes, you can apply for another visitor extension when your current one is close to expiring. You can (and should) mention that you have applied for PR.

When applying for OWP, you will be asked to list your previous work history (like you did for your visitor record), but you don’t need to contact previous employers or provide further proof you worked there.

Thank you for getting back to me!

Wow, no movement today on the OWP front. :( Also, I see that Processing Time for Work Permits has now moved to 9 weeks.

What was the processing time before that?
Last week it was 8 weeks :D. I know I know, not much movement, but movement in the wrong direction. August it was 6 weeks. First time in a year I've seen it go up to 9 weeks.

Everything seems to be slowing down... The waiting is so tough! I’m still hoping to hear something before December!
