Language Requirements Citizenship

Hi,
My spouse has Graduation and Post-graduation degrees from India. Her Degree certificates doesn't specifically mention that the medium of instruction is English (the certificates are issued in English).

Her Education evaluation were done with WES and we also have WES evaluation report mentioning the Canadian equivalent degrees in the report

Would WES report + Degree certificates be enough for the language requirements .... Pls advise

That may not be sufficient to meet the requirements.
She should consider doing a formal language assessment.

Did they take IELTS or CELPIP test for PR and still have the certificate? That would be the best proof...

My Spouse did not take a CELPIP or IELTS at the time of PR. Is this some thing we need at the time of applying for Citizenship or at the time of Interview?

The IRCC website did mention oabout the Transcripts so the confusion

"You may send a transcript, diploma or certificate showing that you graduated from a secondary school or from a post-secondary program in Canada or abroad. These materials must show that the program was in English or French"

The key is that the documentation provided must show that the program was in English or French.

I'd call IRCC at the same time (it may take a few days and attempts to get through) and ask them what sort of proof is required, then call the University and see if they can do what is needed. I assume it's something like send a certified letter (with a stamp on) confirming it's all in English.

It's possible someone else here (maybe even search I don't think this is a unique question) may have more experience but most people applying for Citizenship have old language tests from PR they can use as they're valid even when expired (it's not like you forget a language over a few years and citizenship language requirements are actually pretty low compared to PR).

1. The CIC "mis-information line is not quite correct. You need a letter from the school stating that the program was in either French or English instructions. Not a letter from the applicant. That is usually considered "self serving"

Hi PMM, the letter I sent in my case is from my graduate school, however, the letter is pretty old: was issued back in 2010. Does it make any difference? Additionally, I sent the copy of the IELTS result card which I submitted along with my PR application back in 2010. I only had the copy of the IELTS result card and NOT the original IELTS result card (sent that earlier with my PR application in 2010). Would the copy made from a copy of the IELTS result card be acceptable? Thanks
