• (b) materials from used or second-hand mattresses, when imported after having been cleaned and fumigated, in accordance with regulations made by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, accompanied by such certificates as are designated by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness;

True although maybe I assumed wrongly an international shipment and just thought better things to fill a container with. As per Steaky a personal decision what to ship anyways if it keeps someone happy.

You can try provided the store is willing to ship it to Canada. You can expect to pay tax and duty on top of the purchase price and shipping to bring the mattress into Canada.

I ship him stuff a couple of times a year. I was looking at buying from Macys, because they ship to other countries, but mattresses are on their "can't ship to Canada" list. I don't want to waste my money if it's just going to be returned or confiscated.

You can do that - but you'll have to pay duty/tax.
