sorry to hear abt your job buddy....i was on similar situation(by now i've got job). when i lost the job i sent an ecas request explaining my situation, that i need the citizenship on urgent processing, i got a reply saying the visa office will review my case and if i'm eligible they will process on urgent request. but i dont think they did anything urgent for me. i just got my oath letter last week...see the previous post for my timelines.

Hi
I am new here. I applied for citizenship on Jan. 07, 2019. Application received Jan.09, 2019.
AoR : Mar 05,2019
Fingerprints requested : july 18
Fingerprints received : july 30
After that, I didn’t hear anything from them . My pr card also got expired. Do you have any idea when will be the test date?

Same here, got fingerprint request in April. I sent fingerprints on April 30. Called IRCC and they confirmed they recieved the fingerprints and that is it. I did not hear anything from them thus far. Eagerly waiting for the test date. From what I have seen in the forum some members who applied in January 2018 recently got test invitation date which implies every case is different and so is the timeline. Lets hope we receive something in the e/mail soon.

Hello All,

I have a question. Security check is required for every applicants? Right? I called CIC and I was told that the CIC was still waiting for the security check. Do you know how long it will complete? Thanks a lot

Hello all, Any applicants from Kitchener Office has any updates at all? They started processing my application late April and since then I got nothing.

I don't think that wanting to leave the country for an unknown length of time is going to be a good enough reason for IRCC to prioritize your case. To be honest it may just increase the change of RQ especially if you applied at close to 1095 days etc or spent a lot of the last 5 years as a PR out of the country.

The only official reasons I'm aware of is if someone has a job that requires them to be a citizen such as the person going for a parliament position or into another job that requires citizenship (CSIS etc...)

Well I've submitted using the web form link I found. This is the automated response: If your application is within normal processing times you will not receive a reply from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Received this earlier, so just under the 5 days.

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We verified the information you provided regarding your unavailability and have forwarded it to the responsible office.
They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry

Pretty stock reply, ie: not sure how they'll make a decision before test, interview or doc check etc!

I have a query. I just got an email for my test/interview. However, ecas says a mail was sent. I never got any mail thus far. Will a print out of email suffice?

Thanks!
